I realllly hate being cold. Especially when we’re about to head out to a party — I won’t suffer uncomfortable shoes for fashion, and I won’t freeze for fashion, either. One trick that I’ve been playing around with is the layering of jackets. Layering a soft velvet blazer underneath a faux-fur or leather one means that I’m warm enough to walk to the party, and then, once there, I can just remove the outer jacket and still have another layer for warmth.
Of course, if you are one of those hot-blooded people, just keep stripping. Like you do. (Linz and Annmarie, I SEE YOU.)
Layered With a Leather Jacket
I actually don’t mind that this soft jacket peeks out of the bottom of the much-shorter leather one. This would be a great trick over a dress, too.
Layered With a Faux Fur
Velvet and faux-fur were made to be layered. This combo is a really fun one to wear.

A tie-waist isn’t required, it’s just fun. I must not be the only one who thinks so, because there are some realllly good ones to choose from. I also threw in a few double-breasted blazers I’ve had my eye on, as well as some old faithfuls.
