If you’ve been reading TME for a while, you may remember my favorite lightweight pants ever…the Athleta Soho jogger. I’ve loved these for a few years now (and raved about them here, too), but I’m stoked to tell you that they now come in a lined version for winter! These things are the best pants for travel, lounging, morning drop-off, running errands…you name it.
Streetwear Vibes: How To Style The Lined Athleta Soho Joggers
They’re soft, comfy, flattering AND best of all, they come in regular, petite and tall sizing. I struggled to find a good winter jogger until now because, as my fellow shorties know, most joggers aren’t offered in petite lengths. So, hooray and thank you, Athleta.
I have the black pair (they look a little navy here due to having to brighten my photos…#thankswinter), but the deep green is currently on sale and also lovely. I did size up one unlike the unlined version and went with a 4P here, so I’d say these fit more TTS.
Jogger Outfit Idea 1: The City Girl Vibe
I adore anything sporty topped with a rad, long overcoat — it just adds a cool, unexpected element to the look. Plus, this coat makes my beloved fuzzy lounge sweater a bit more presentable to wear out of the house. (If your size isn’t available in that sweater, this one is just as cute).
Jogger Outfit Idea 2: Brooklyn Mom Chic
I’m not even mad about this combo that’s been so popular on the east coast…cozy clog boots, warm joggers and the Amazon coat. I live for this pairing when it comes to cold, rainy school drop-offs. These are the only clog boots I’ve tried that are comfortable on your ankle — I was even able to wear them right out of the box with no break-in period. Yes! They’re lined around the ankle and unlined on the footbed, but for wooden clogs, they’re super-comfy. I think they nailed it with these (hahaha).
Jogger Outfit Idea 3: For Your Inner Sporty Spice
Idk. Coming up with titles sometimes eludes me, but if I had to pick a Spice Girl…
The pants look so navy here (sorry), but they’re actually a good shade of black just like my jacket and sneakers. My leather jacket makes any casual or sporty piece look more “me” and well, just more interesting. I also love layering it over a hoodie for warmth.
Jogger Outfit Idea 4: When I Don’t Want to Wear Jeans
I wore this exact combo yesterday, but with black non-stretch denim — by the end of the day, I was wishing I had these joggers on instead. NOTED, Self. This scarf has become a winter outfit-maker — I wear it all the time. The color is so rich and lovely with almost everything — plus, it makes the BEST cozy blanket for flights.
Jogger Outfit Idea 5: Work From Home
As someone who works from home, I try to feel put-together most days, even when I know I might not leave the house. I feel a lot better about that occasional trip to answer the door, run outside to grab something and see the neighbor, or jaunt to the coffee shop when I’m wearing some cute joggers with my cozy top.

If you’re a fellow shortie and have a pair of joggers you love, do share! I was looking back and apparently I’ve done at least four posts about joggers. Ummm…haha. What can I say?…besides black jeans, they may just be the perfect pants. Thanks so much for all of your suggestions lately on all of my posts. It’s so great to hear what you’ve found, and what you love! I so appreciate the comments.
