This morning it was 35 degrees! 35! I can’t with this cold anymore. It’s not that I’m a summer person, I just want to wear my leather jacket comfortably — is that too much to ask?! These pictures were taken in Bogotá, Colombia a couple weeks ago. I went back for a few days for a check-up on my surgery recovery and to take care of some other family duties.
The weather was perfect! I’ve always said that Bogotá has the perfect climate. Not too cold, not too hot year-round. It’s one of the things I miss the most about it. So, it was an ideal time to wear some looks I’ve been dying to to work in here — like wide-leg cropped jeans.
These jeans have been one of my favorite denim purchases. I love the fit. It’s like they give me a butt lift (ha!), and it’s always nice to have my legs free. They were perfect on the compression garment during my my tummy tuck recovery.
How To Wear Wide-Leg Cropped Jeans Right Now
- A light colored top: Changing the colors we wear is the easiest way to start feeling like we are in a new season. My top is a bodysuit, and I LOVE how bodysuits look with this type of jeans.
- Ankle boots in a similar color to the jeans: This helps to extend the leg line, especially because I’m wearing a light top. If it was a lighter wash I’d go for light tan or taupe booties.
- Leather jacket: Whenever it’s not freezing, I just get my favorite jacket out. Always a leather jacket. Everything looks more chic and stylish with it.
- Light bag: I actually wear this bag year long. But when spring time comes, it’s really important to have some light-colored bags to receive the warmer temperatures.
Jeans – Wearing size 24. If you’re petite you must know I had to crop them. But it’s easy because they originally have a raw hem, just take a few inches off if you want. They look great longer too. More washes available. Lighter ones, back, ivory and white. More wide leg jeans below:
Top – (On Sale!) This ribbed bodysuit is gorgeous. The lace detail is delicate yet sexy. It’s very stretchy because it’s ribbed. I’ve had it and worn it for months; it’s held up really well. More pink bodysuits or light sweaters below:
Boots – I have this exact style in 3 different colors now. Love the block heel and how comfy they are. Plus, they look good with everything.
Bag – I’ve had this bag for almost a year. The color is very versatile and the quality amazing. Rebecca Minkoff always has my heart when it comes to quality bags. Since mine is sold out, I’m sharing some favorite light bags:
Happy spring! Do you have any wide-leg cropped pants? What’s your favorite way to wear them?
