007 Things have gotten a little bit crazy over here at Ain't No Mom Jeans!  On November 10th, contributing author Lane (and her adorable hubby Dave) welcomed their daughter, Vesper Elizabeth Clark.  She was 6lbs, 10 oz…and only three weeks later has already gained 2 lbs.  Nice!  Lane is doing well, and I can't wait to hear her thoughts on being a new mom.  What a crazy, once-in-a-lifetime time. Congratulations, Lane and Dave!  Savour every moment!

Aaaannnddd…here's a close-up pic, 'cause I know you want to see her in all of her gorgeousness:

Lastly, despite my fervent hope that I could make it to my scheduled c-section date….our little Pax Sylvester came a few days early on November 18th after a tiny lack-of-movement scare.  (I love the nonchalant way doctors say things like, "Well, let's just do the c-section now.  Sit here in this wheelchair, and we'll just wheel you on over to the hospital…."  WAIT!  WHAT????)  But he is fine, I am fine (after a bout of mastitis already — geez) and I'm learning that life with two is very, very different than life with one.  HOLY MOLY.

And my little man is getting to know his little brother…and growing so much in the process.  It's been rather heart-breaking, actually.

Anyway, it's been a long nine months.  And now?  I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

Happy Holidays.

  1. Gorgeous children both of you! S- What type of camera are you working with? I’m getting frustrated with blurriness that stems from toddlers inability to be still for a pic.

  2. Mazel tov! Congratulations! Can’t wait to hear both new mom thoughts and (especially, since I’m staring it down) two-kid thoughts! xo Stephanie

  3. I had my second son a year ago and was surprised at how sad it was to let go of my first a little bit…but I feel very lucky that he will have a little brother to hang with for the rest of his life! πŸ™‚

  4. Congratulations to everyone! I just found this blog recently and love it. I love the names of both babies. In fact, Vesper is my daughter’s middle name (originally was going to be her first name but we caved to family pressure). After she was born I realized I should have used it as her first name… but her first name grew on me with time. However, I now know for baby #2 that I shouldn’t care overly much about what other people think about my baby’s name…

  5. Congratulations to all of you!!! Mommies, daddies, big brothers πŸ™‚ Isn’t it amazing how HUGE your older son’s diapers/pull ups look now? That always shocks me when I bring a new baby home! Very happy for you! Enjoy them πŸ™‚

  6. Congratulations! I’m with you on the HOLY MOLY of two – isn’t amazing how easy life with one seems now!? It does get easier, though – my little one is now 7 months old – and it’s already been such a thrill to see the relationship grow between her and her big brother.
