Who doesn’t want a few fun, easy updates to the Spring wardrobe? As it begins to feel gorgeous and lovely outside, a refresh to the ol’ closet is nice. The bonus? Refresh pieces that are kind to our Mother Earth. #yesplease
I try my best to be responsible with how we recycle, compost, and pass-on most items in our home, but I know I can get better at making more responsible purchases on the front end, too. Style can meet eco-friendly, as it turns out, and I keep seeing more and more brands all the time that are doing their part to leave less of an impact on our environment. Hooray!
Bloomingdale’s has launched a new campaign “Good For the Globe” with a pop-up shop experience called Carousel that makes it even easier to shop responsibly for great stuff. They’ve worked with various guest curators to create collections that highlight these conscientious brands. I tried out a few of my favorite pieces from the current roundup, and there are some fab finds for Spring. That’s the fabulous part…there’s really great stuff, you guys. Some of our favorite brands have adopted practices that leave less of an impact, and now you can shop them all in one spot.
Cute Light Wash Jeans and Fab White Sneakers
I definitely don’t give up my black for Spring, but I do like to brighten it up some with lighter wash jeans. These Levi’s Water<Less™ 501 jeans don’t look stretchy, but they are (tummies rejoice!), and they’re so cute with the darker wash side seam. They offer many of their styles and washes made with the same Water<Less™ technology. We all know I’ve been on a white sneaker kick lately, and the Veja sneaks have the retro vibe I love. This cute tee is made from 100% recycled cotton, and it’s the perfect cropped length for high-rise denim.
Everybody.World x Kelly Ana Tee – Cute. Just the right crop that’s not too short. 100% recycled cotton. TTS. Wearing a Small.
Levi’s 501 Skinny Jean (made with Water<Less™ technology) – Nice stretch and flattering. TTS. Wearing a 27.
Bloomingdale’s x Baggu tote – So cute and sturdy.
Black Cropped Jeans That Show Off Cute Shoes
See, not giving up the black for Spring. But, these cropped jeans are super cute for showing off new sandals and Spring shoes. Of course I had to throw in another graphic tee because #itme. I love that Alternative apparel uses responsible printing and washing practices in their production of the softest knits (with the best heathered colors, too). I’m loving the star print joggers and hoodie, too.
And I’m sure you noticed my cute reusable cup? It’s collapsable! And not to mention durable and adorable. The heat sleeve also fits right down into the collapsed cup (they thought of everything), and the interior even has measurements on the inside for your friendly barista… 8oz, 12oz and 16oz… so they get you just the right amount of caffeinated goodness. It comes with a lid cap, too, so you don’t spill it on the way to work.
Levi’s Mile High Crop Flare – Thinner fabric than the jeans above, but super cute and flattering. Very high waisted. Almost more of a black pant fabric. TTS. Wearing a 27.
Dolce Vita Espadrilles – A flattering cut and slight platform height. So cute. TTS.
Stojo Collapsable Cup – My new favorite. I’ll actually be using this adorable one! Would make a great gift, too. Comes in other colors.
Shop More Cute Spring Updates That Are Good For the Globe
I feel fortunate to live in a very Earth-Conscious city where plastic bags are outlawed in stores, and straws are following suit. BUT there’s still so much more we can all do to reduce waste and be responsible earthly citizens. I know it can seem overwhelming as a parent to do “all the things”, but taking a few steps at a time, and passing those values on to our kids in simple ways can really actually help. Even if all of us reading this blog made a few simple changes we could begin to make a real impact. Thanks for listening to this hippie West Coaster today who is always happy to share ideas and hear your ideas on living responsibly! It’s gonna take a village, y’all, and I’m glad you’re part of ours.
Thank you so much to Bloomingdale’s for sponsoring this post. I’m beyond stoked that you’re offering such a fabulous collection of items that leave less of an impact on our environment. It makes it easy to shop for things to feel good about! As usual, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
