Welp, I’m gonna say the mom-est thing I can right now: I can’t believe my little gal is going to be in fourth grade this fall! Truly, time is a thief, y’all. My kiddo started third grade last year looking like a tiny kid…and she ended the school year looking like a full-on big kid.
…a big kid who has LOTS of opinions, no less, haha. Who am I kidding? She’s always been a kid with lots of opinions, from moment one of her life. Good thing her opinion of this back-to-school outfit I picked out from Gap was that SHE LOVES IT. Whew.

See that tiny smirk on her face above, though? Yeah, that was because mom tried to style her sweatshirt by pushing the sleeves up, and I had to do lots of convincing just to get that far, friends.
She’s gonna be a strong, strong adult someday who will not be pushed around (pun intended.) And I love that. It might be a little exhausting now, but it’s totally worth it. This gal is gonna do things, so watch out world.
Back-To-School Mom Hacks: Gap Outfits For Kids Big + Small
One thing she didn’t fight me on was putting on this amazingly soft Gap logo hoodie. She truly loves it and can’t wait to wear it all fall.
The cute floral-print skort is so adorable with the green of the hoodie, and I can’t help but feel nostalgic that I wore something preeeetty similar on one of my first days of school years ago. Everything old is new again! And I’m loving the tiny floral prints and pretty fall shades Gap has right now for kids.
What we’re both also loving at Gap? Its campaign this year called “Everyone Belongs,” which focuses on inclusivity for all kiddos and highlights their partnership with author and mother Heather Avis, who is a champion of Down syndrome education. These are very important strides — and even more important to see from large retailers like Gap. Representation is so necessary. Thank you, Gap folx!

And in addition to the cute floral prints I’m loving on the site…that leopard-print backpack, right? Yep… I keep wanting to steal it for myself, but Sienna will definitely not let that happen. It’s a great size that will hold folders and books without being giant. (My big kid is still pretty petite, haha, so we appreciate that.) This leopard-print sold out quickly, but you can find more of the cutest print backpacks here (my other top choice is this star print) with matching lunchboxes, too.

Moms Need Back-to-School Looks Too: Cute Fall Gap Finds For Myself
I mean, who doesn’t want some easy, cute pieces to throw on for pickup and drop-off, amiright?
This adorable Gap jean jacket with fab puff-sleeve details is just that. And don’t get me started on the linen-blend V-neck tee underneath… So beautifully made, and it has a great drape.

For the jeans, I size up a bit to get that comfy, slightly slouchy fit. The wash on these High-Rise Cheeky straight-leg jeans is perfection too. Love. I’d say they do fit true to size for a flattering snug fit (they have a bit of stretch as well, though.)
Early Fall Faves For Moms From Gap
Good luck as you head back to school this year, friends! It’s always an exciting time with a few butterflies, lots of expectations and loads of memories. Hugs.

Love this so much!
Those are very similar to your Moussy jeans. The wash looks to be very good. I love Moussy jeans but hate the stiffness…..
