If there’s one city I envy most for style, it’s London.
I’ve always been drawn to the British-Urban-Feminine-Meets-Punk vibe that seems to continually emerge from England’s capital city. I love the long overcoats, the mod boots, the pretty pieces styled with plenty of black, the chic yet not-too-much-so look that says, “I paid attention to what I’m wearing, but I’m practical and also a little tough.”
Topshop at Nordstrom has always been an easy place for me to find any and all of these wardrobe pieces. Short of moving, I can live out my dreams of being a Londoner through my closet.
Pretty & Chic: My New Favorite Statement Tops & Bag
This little number is adorable and gorgeous all in one. You don’t see me in a ton of blouses around here, but when the mood strikes, Nordstrom’s Topshop section is one of the first places I look. They always come with a cool element like a great tie-neck detail, a fab print or a killer cut.
Topshop’s going out bags are a team favorite — full of personality and many under $60 (yasss) — they always end up being a conversation piece. I’m obsessed with this faux leather clutch.
This top is super-cute tucked in, but it also has a split hem in the back that would be a fun date night option when the weather warms — you could always throw a lacy bralette or tank underneath, too.
The Little Black Blouse (& a Killer Coat, Too)
You can never go wrong with a pretty black blouse. The one I’m wearing has a little beaded detail which makes it feel special (I love this one, too). And let’s talk about this amazing coat, right? So rad. And warm, too. It’s a soft-brushed wool blend that feels like you’re wearing a big blanket but looks amazingly chic. It’s so lovely if you’re looking to upgrade to a stunner of a coat without a staggering price point. I know mine is quickly selling, but this in ivory is a gorgeous option, as is this great herringbone piece.
This won’t be the last time you see these boots either. I love the taller height of the boot shaft for wearing with all my cropped jeans in winter, and the western detail paired with the mod-style boot is EVERYTHING.
Note: Topshop sizing can be a little tricky to navigate, but Nordstrom’s size info can be your best friend. After a little trial-and-error, I’d say size up in pants and stick to your typical size in tops and outerwear.
If you’re unsure of where you fall on the size chart, reach out to Nordstrom’s customer service team and they should be able to help you end up with the right size. There are also plenty of benefits to becoming a Nordy Club member too, so if you’re not yet, check it out (it’s free!).
