Maaji Swimwear: Bikinis You Can Actually Swim (& Kid-Wrangle) In

Hi, August. Who’s got two thumbs and is still using ANY excuse possible to wear a bikini? This girl. For reals, though. August is one of my favorite times to be at the beach. Peak tourist season is pretty much over, the water is warmer, and we’re soaking up every last minute of these sweet summer days before they’re gone.

So that means I’m playing HARD.

I was recently drawn to Maaji swimwear because of the amazing prints and sporty vibe — but when I tried them on — that sealed the deal. This is swimwear you can actually move around in. Not a one-piece lapsuit, per se, but sexy enough to be a real bikini, practical enough for surfing, paddleboarding, and — gasp — actually swimming. Function aside, I think it’s safe to say Maaji patterns are totally on point. They’re all different yet somewhat alike, making them so good for a little mixing and matching.

All pieces below are paddleboarding, kid-wrangling and swim-friendly…just like mine.

  1. These suits are super cute. I also just had a ton of success finding good “run after your kids” bikinis at Athleta. And a bunch are on sale now!

  2. These are so cute! Nordstrom has a ton of options, too. But a lot of the bottoms are called “extra cheeky.” I am terrified of extra cheeky. Do they ride up? Did you feel like they had good coverage? From the pic above I wouldn’t say they’re cheeky at all.
