I love making my boys suit up. I think it’s important that they know that sometimes, a suit is required. It’s a way of showing respect, a way of taking an event seriously. Life skills, right?
Also, little boys in suits are freaking adorable.
It’s funny, though, because my guys are now getting old enough to be aware of their looks. This is a new thing. So new, in fact, that Raines (my oldest) only recently started caring* how his hair looks for school.
*This sounds much more dramatic than it is… “caring how his hair looks” is really “not wanting to go to school with a giant rat’s nest in the back of his head”. We haven’t yet reached the pre-teen level of Styling Hair Every Morning Before School, thank god. He just asks me to pull it back in man-bun to make it “less puffy”.
Anyway, suits. Now that they’re both starting to be aware of how they look…they’re also starting to realize an essential life fact: Men almost always look better in suits.
So when Appaman sent over some suits for the boys, we were all thrilled. Appaman is one of my all-time favorite brands for kids. The clothes are well-made, last forever, and have personality. The suits, in particular, are so freaking good.

If you are looking for a more affordable suit option, we also like H&M suits. The fit isn’t nearly as good as Appaman, but it’s not bad (and they’re machine washable). I’ve rounded up both my favorite Appaman suits and a few H&M suits.
Cheers to personality.
