Everlane is on fire right now. I had a long list of items I had been waiting to try (Tread Sneaks, Editor Boots, silk cami — just to name a few), and a few pieces that I had promised readers I’d cover again if they came back in stock (Puffy Puff, holla), so when Everlane reached out, asking if we’d like to work together…
…I elbowed all other contributors out of the way, was all Yes and Here’s My Long List It’s For RESEARCH.

Everlane, thanks for your patience as I tried on alllll the things (and then exchanged a bunch to get the right size). I seriously appreciate it.
Make It Easy: A Neutral Winter Capsule Wardrobe From Everlane
The good news is that I ended up finding 10 pieces that are just as swoon-worthy as they are practical.
And the better news? They all go together.
Let’s call it a capsule, folks.
1. The Everlane Re:Down Puffy Puff
I’m totally obsessed with Everlane’s Puffy Puff, made out of 100% recycled polyester…and filled with 100% recycled down. It’s warm, it’s cute, and it layers beautifully over thick, cozy sweaters.
Sizing notes: I tried on both the XXS, the XS, and the Small – they all fit. But in order to have it *happily* fit over thick sweaters, I preferred either the XS or the Small. The fit is supposed to be slightly oversized, to get the cool-girl vibe. I ended up going with my typical size, XS, but I’m more of an apple shape. Linz, who is a slightly more hourglass shape, preferred going up one size.

The vibe of this coat is cool enough that I could easily see myself wearing it out for date night too, with cute heeled boots and a silk cami.

2. Everlane’s Clean Silk Cami
I wear 100% silk camis alllll winter long under basically everything. Not only do they add a surprising amount of warmth, but if I ever need to feel dressed up, I can ditch the sweater. I machine wash mine (delicate cycle) and lay flat to dry. Everlane’s Clean Silk Cami is one of my new favorites. I plan on snapping it up in navy, too.
Sizing notes: The cami fits small, so size up. (I’m wearing a size 0 in this post, but just exchanged it for a size 2.)

3. Everlane Tread Sneakers
OK, these are amazing. I had high (high!!) hopes for Everlane’s environmentally-friendly foray into sneakers…and the Tread Core sneakers did not disappoint. These sneaks are comfortable and supportive and did not need to be broken in…yet they get more comfy with wear. They’re super-chic on, too.
Sizing notes: fits true to size.

4. Everlane’s Classic Cashmere Turtleneck
Everlane has a ton of great cashmere, but my favorite is still their classic cashmere turtleneck sweater. It’s truly the kind of piece I really do wear every day.
Sizing notes: I find that this sweater tends to run a bit small. I’m wearing a size small in the photos, but might also snap up a size medium to have one black turtleneck with a slouchier fit.

Curious about Everlane’s other cashmere options? Here’s what I’ve learned: 1. The entire TME Philly team is also obsessed with Everlane’s Cashmere Square turtleneck. It has a cute, boxy shape but it doesn’t half-tuck as well (because of the banded bottom) so you really must like where it hits without tucking. 2. Want something shorter? Their Cashmere Ribbed Boatneck is made from thick, ribbed, totally delicious cashmere. I love mine. 3. The Re:Cashmere line is cute, but it’s not 100% cashmere (it’s actually recycled cashmere blended with wool) so it doesn’t drape nearly as well as their 100% cashmere.
5. Everlane The ReNew Transit Backpack
Made out of 100% recycled polyester, this backpack fits my laptop, and has a ton of clever pockets for alllll the random things. I also love what white accessories are doing for my all-black winter outfits. This is a bag I keep getting a ton of compliments on.

6. Everlane High-Rise Skinny Jeans With Button-Fly
If you’ve been reading TME for any length of time, you likely know by now that the entire TME team is obsessed with Everlane’s washed black, button-fly skinny jeans. We love the wash, the two lengths, the button-fly and the stretch. Oh hey — I’m actually wearing them now as I type this.
Sizing notes: I think these run a *tiny* bit small (at least in the black wash).

7. Everlane ‘The Editor’ Boot
This is such a cool boot. Everlane’s Editor Boot looks like a high-heel, yet feels more like a flat. I’m wearing mine with my usual wool socks, and I could easily walk for miles in these babies. Black would be an obvious choice (and the black pair is gorgeous), but the chocolate brown suede takes my usual black and white in a really fresh, unexpected direction. It’s like neutrals…with a twist.
Sizing notes: Fits true to size

8. Everlane’s Oversized Alpaca Crew
I’ve had my eye on Everlane’s oversized alpaca sweater since last year. It’s insanely warm, yet feels light and airy, which makes it both slouchy and tuckable. And — bonus!! — it’s better on the environment, too, since alpacas don’t have the same impact on the earth that other animals do. I have unusually sensitive skin, so I can’t wear this alone, but it was fine with the silk cami layered underneath.
Sizing notes: The fit is oversized, so I suggest going with your usual size to get the slouch right. I’m wearing an XS.

9. Everlane The ’90s Cheeky Straight Jean
I love the slightly distressed wash of Everlane’s ’90s straight leg jean. The fit (at least in the ankle length) is reminiscent of a boyfriend jean, but with a nice high rise. I especially love these jeans with a ladylike boot.
And, OKFINE, a turtleneck.
Sizing notes: fits true to size

10. Everlane BOSS BAG
I just felt like this bag needed an all-caps title. Gwen has it in black, I have the white, it fits a laptop and is so stinking gorgeous. I’m such a backpack girl, but when I’m feeling the need for something more chic….this is the bag. Would make a great gift, too.

A huge thank you to Everlane for sponsoring this post!! We’re all obsessed with your well-priced basics — especially the cashmere sweaters (side note: as I type this…half of the Philly team is currently wearing Everlane cashmere sweaters in the office right now, haha). As always, all thoughts, opinions and product choices are my own. And readers, thank you for your continued support. It doesn’t go unnoticed, and is so very much appreciated.

Ok can I just say everything I have ordered on your recommendations I have loved. Gahhh just ordered the patagonia lunar fleece jacket… now swooning ever many everlane pieces. #shoppingenablers ?
Just read their latest IG post – couldn’t love Everlane more! The Day Glove ReKnit will be in my cart next!
Ack! It’s probably a good thing this posted this evening, because when I saw TME’s Facebook post about $100 cashmere at Everlane, I placed an order! This post would have greatly increased my bill! I have been really happy with everything I’ve gotten from Everlane and am really loving the bag you’ve shared. Maybe Santa will bring it for me! ?
Thank you for posting this! I’ve been obsessed with Everlane for awhile now, and although I’ve yet to place an order, my cart has been full for weeks! After reading your post, I will be placing that order now!
What denim size did you get? And how did regular vs ankle fit?
How would you compare the turtleneck to the Equipment cashmere? Thanks!
Couple more denim questions… how does the mid vs high rise fit you? We’re similar size/shape, so your size references are super helpful for me (vs. some of the other contributors… still love their posts ;).
Also, I’ve always wondered about this, what do you wear under your camis?
Can you PLEASE do an (overdue!!!!) post on underwear? What to wear to minimize panty lines, convertible bras, stick on etc. I’m sure lots of us struggle to find the comfortable and no-show options. Useful pre-holiday information.
