Red Sock Boots Styled 4 Ways

I love these red boots.  Shoes are such an easy way to add a little something extra to an outfit and these are so fun to wear.  My initial impulse was to wear them with neutrals like black or gray (what I wear mostly anyway) but Shana had me thinking outside the box to style them up in more creative ways.  Here’s what I came up with.  (Matching lipstick optional).

Neutrals

Of course this was the first outfit I envisioned: black and grey.  Let me say that this sweater is my new favorite and I’ve been wearing it practically nonstop since I got it. I love the length, the fact that it’s not super tight around my hips and that it’s sooo soft and cozy.  (Nursing-friendly, too!)  Faux leather leggings are my jam so of course I had to try the red boots with them.red ankle boots womenred fashion boots red sock boots red sock boots red boots for women statement boots how to wear red boots

RD Style Wrap Front Sweater c/o (wearing a size small)

Vince Camuto Destilly 2 Bootie (run small, wearing 8.5, usually 8 in boots)

Faux Leather jacket (similar and on sale for $55!)

Scarf (old, but I’m drooling over this one!)

All Black

Like Shana, I’m all about the black turtlenecks in the fall and winter.  I’m always on the lookout for ones that are soft, don’t cling too tight and have the perfect-shaped neck.  This one actually used to be an oversized tunic . . . then my husband washed it.  And dried it.  I think I like it better now. Ha!  (I’ve shrunk so much of his clothes, I’ve lost count . . . I refuse to dry clean!)red sock boots red boots for women red boots

Express Mid Rise Stretch Jean Legging (this is the non-distressed version that’s also available in petite, also in a lighter black distressed)

Black Turtleneck (similar and this price point is goooood!)

Camel

Shana suggested this one.  She loves camel and red together and it’s one of my new favorite combinations.  This sweater?  Cashmere.  For under $90.  It’s so unbelievably soft and comes in a ton of colors.  I’m going to have to handwash it, though, because you know how I feel about dry cleaning.

American Eagle Tomgirl Jeans (my favorite of all time, now on sale for under $35 . . . I mean . . . )

Bright Colors

I wanted to wear these boots with COLOR.  I love purple and red together, but I think you could also wear these boots with turquoise or pink or even yellow or orange.  (I actually liked the way they looked with these jeans and a yellow top but couldn’t get Ronald McDonald out of my head.)how to style red boots red boots for women vince camuto destilly 2

  1. I haven’t worn bright red on my feet since my red flats in high school (Oh, how I loved them!). These red boots with red lipstick remind me of those. Very cute, Scotti Elizabeth!
