How have I gotten soooooo lazy??? I mean…I’m not typically an “energizer-bunny-say-yes-hoorah-hooray-to-everything-kind-of-gal” (remember I’m the practical level-headed one), but during these stay-at-home-order times, I continue to amaze even myself with short-cuts I’m trying to take.
For example…I’ve been so sluggish that all I really want to put on my feet are shoes that I don’t have to bend down and tie. Because apparently…some days…reaching all the way down to my feet and crossing and knotting two strings is WAY too much to ask. Ridiculous, I know!
Slip-On Sneakers: Where Easy & Comfy Meet Fun
Slip-on sneaks (in particular these eco-conscious EILEEN FISHERs) are therefore my new go-to. Last month I did a big roundup of all types of cute sneaks, but I’m finding there are some major benefits to slip-ons:
- They’re great for spring/summer transition. No need for socks, but warmer than sandals.
- Perfect for use with SuperFeet when I need a little extra support in or out of the house (to avoid old lady pains).
- Easy to slip on and off in the house (if you’re looking for a house shoe upgrade).
- Ideal (most importantly) for avoiding that strenuous reach ALL the way down to your feet (ugh…it’s just so far), to deal with those pesky shoelaces.
Below are some fun, cute, easy, comfy (several comfort brand options), and of course “lazy-friendly” options:

6. SUPER-Cozy Allbirds**
I’m having a very difficult time putting anything other than Allbirds (**SUSTAINABLE **) in this category. They’re the only sneak I’ve worn that are so insanely super cozy, but can still be worn comfortably in hot weather.

7. Go-To Black Slip-Ons
Readers LOVE the Ivy slip-on from Frye, and they’re on sale everywhere! Lots of color options, but this soft black leather looks really pretty and could be worn for a less casual look as well. Many sizes sold out, but most still available on Amazon.

8. Bright White Sneaks
Can’t go wrong with bright white for spring and summer. I’m wearing my bright white sneaks when my outfit needs a little life. Clarks are one of my fav comfort shoe brands….love their cushy footbed. Lots of color options, too.
