Men. Yup, those guys. They claim to be so easy, simple, go with the flow….They say. We’ve done research: they are not. There are the men we deal with in reality — the ones we marry, date, get overly comfortable with; our dads, brothers, sons and friends; and the guys who help us get things done: the teachers, the preachers…all the men. Yup, all those guys, we’ve got gifts for them. Which guy are you shopping for? Here are a few we are…

Gifts For The Guy You Snuggle Up With
Beginning with a little step back to better basics here — fresh breath and soft skin count for something, right? And good sleep counts for just about everything. These days, tell me that great PJ’s aren’t the look of the Pandemic season — all-day-long. Stay at home, and cozy, and go to bed early. All good things.
1 | Quip Toothbrush
Limited edition Aqua metal, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better looking toothbrush. Not sure how that equates to dental hygiene, but your bathroom vanity will look cute with this resting on it! Also travels well. And is a fun stocking stuffer!
2 | Kiehl’s Overnight Cream
I’ve borrowed this one and love it. So much I think I’m going to gift myself some. We all need great cream to reset overnight.
3 | Tommy John Second Skin Long Sleeve Tee
Also comes in a short sleeve version, lays well, says it resists pilling/pulling, and is rumored to feel so soft! If they call it the Second Skin, it better feel like that!
4 | Tommy John Second Skin Lounge Pants
Pockets, check. Soft, check. Comfortable all day and all night, check. They also come in black, but something about many men gravitates to blue — who knew?
Gifts For The Guy Who Works From Home
And helps with school-from-home, and all the other home things. Or better yet, the guy who does all the things, and you partner with, and ask, how can I help you? Who doesn’t need a little help right now? We all do. For all he does, he gets rewarded with smarter, comfier work-from-home gear and maybe a flirtatious wink? Or at least some decent house shoes, better ear buds, stronger WiFi and a way to tone his abs from his standing desk and not get bored stiff?
5 | Better Sweater Shirt Jacket
The one piece wonder…on its own, or as a layer over just about anything, and also under a puffer, fleece, or dad sweater. Shhh….I might need one of these. You too?
6 | Vuori Ponto Pants
Get him a pair of these and he might want to Stay-At-Home forever. Dressed enough, comfortable plenty, and a convenient drawstring — for post-holiday forgiveness where you need it.
7 | Birkenstock House Shoes
Several of my friends, he/she and they, are all swearing by these. My head is currently almost a full 90 degrees sideways in contemplation, but hey, it’s #2020 and house shoes are a thing, and they all say these are THE house shoe of all house shoes. So, OK then, let’s get comfy. Ps: they love the plaid especially — there I don’t think I can go…but grey, black, blue, OK…I’m with you.
8 | Powerbeats Pro Wireless
These are the ones I have and love most after trying a few, and they came highly recommended from a few guy friends. They come in all sorts of fun colors and work really well. The sound quality is great, and they don’t pop out of my ears. Great for work calls and Zoom, but also for running too!
9 | Anti-Fatigue Balance Board
This little guy will massage your feet while you stand on him at your stand up desk, you can tone your abs from him, while you work, and it claims to be anti fatigue….I’m not exactly sure how that science works, but just in case it does, I’m on board with him.
10 | Wifi Extender
If there is a legitimate need in homes where people, many of them, work and school all day, it’s more Wifi signal. This is an extender — it gets amazing reviews, and unlike many others, it’s not hard to look at. We’re all about easy solutions, that improve the quality of everything these days. Now, you can’t just click this and voila…it’s a bit more complicated than that. He’s part of a system, that replaces your router, and that system is available for multiple speeds…and in configurations that can work with Alexa, Google and Apple, so this isn’t quite a one-click solution, but more of a suggestion, that if Wifi is troublesome, you might want to look into replacing what you have with a new router and some extenders. It won’t be inexpensive, but it might be worth it.
Gifts For Your Forever DJ
He makes the best playlists, he sets the mood, he keeps you on your toes and dancing all day…these are the best speakers for the guy who loves nothing more than sharing a great playlist with all his people.
11 | Sonos Speaker
People love their Sonos speakers, primarily for sound, but also because they are sleek. This one is indoor/outdoor, portable, and battery powered — there are many, but this is an easy one to start with if you want to give Sonos speakers a try and then work your way into building a system, or you if you want to add on to a system you already have.

12 | Boom Portable Speaker
If you are looking more for a portable speaker you can take on a picnic or to the beach, camping (anywhere really) that’s more affordable, has great sound and is super-tough, these are perfect. And also come in a ton of fun color combos.
Gifts For The Fixer
I grew up with a Dad, and two grandfathers, who could fix anything. It wasn’t always pretty, but it usually worked when they were done. And the best part about all those guys, was that they were gender-all-supporting when it came to their kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews — they were all relatively patient men, each in their own way, who loved kids and were always happy to have us tag along and “help.” Those were some serious life skills they shared with all of us, and yes, we also at times, got tools as gifts — tools we all still have and use. Currently, sitting in my kitchen at the end of the island, is a pile of things that need fixing. Somewhere, there’s a list of things that need fixing around the house. The car tires and bike tires need air. I’m sure everything needs oil, and probably clean filters. It goes on and on. There is no shortage of tools in this house. I’ll get to it all, eventually. This is a great gift for the person who loves nothing more than those kind of lists. And/or, just loves power tools and doesn’t actually ever fix anything. And the next one is a bribe…if you fix my list, I’ll fix your tight spots…fair trades are everything. And the Theragun is a reward, for all of us with tight muscles. Whoever is your fixer in life might also be the person who needs the most fixing…so yes, just these two gifts.
13 | DeWalt Cordless Drill
Not unlike my measuring tapes and lasers walk away, very innocently, my drill also did too recently. I’m sure it’s somewhere with someone, I’m sure we’ll figure that out one day and it’ll come home. For now, I need a new drill, and this is it. If you know someone who needs a new drill too, this one is the one.
14 | Theragun
This is a massage tool, one that’s easy for everyone to use. I learned about them from my Physical Therapist who used one on me for years, and I finally got one for home use. It seriously helps loosen the tightest of muscles, and depending on the area where you need work, you can use it on yourself.
Gifts For The Guy Who Loves To Play In The Backyard
We’re all playing more, at home. Or at least we should be. Up that game a bit, with outdoor foosball, outdoor ping pong, and outdoor pickle ball. If pickle ball isn’t an olympic sport yet, it will be by the time this Pandemic is over.
15 | Indoor/Outdoor Ping Pong
The one linked and in the photo is the Nova Pro, which is my top pick for outdoor use, if for no other reason, the wheels. These fold-up and can be covered for storage, if you don’t have a dedicated space for ping pong. Family fun indoors and out, and a great large whole family gift!
16 | Pickle Ball Family Set
Easy to set up outdoors, whether it’s in your own driveway or backyard. Or, take it to the park or playground. It’s a fun racquet sport for the whole family that can be played year-round. This set has two different sized paddles, one for adults and one for kids. It’s super-fun in design and a great way to spend time!
17 | Foosball Cooler
Most epic holiday gift ever. You can chill your beer, play foosball while said beer chills, and then pop the cap with the opener. So much fun!!!
Gifts For The Well-Shod Man Who Takes Long Walks
For the guy who walks his talk. Or the one who knows how and when to take one. And when you need one too. Walk gently, leave the big stick, wear better shoes.
18 | ’70s Style Nike
If we can’t have fun with our feet, I’m not sure where we can. These are amazing, says the ’70s child in me who still loves to have fun and look good today.
19 | Chukka Boot
I know so many guys, that are all so very different, who would all look amazing and love living and walking in these.
Gifts For The Guy Who Packs A Better Picnic
We’re all going nuts. We all needs to get outdoors. We all need to go further than our own homes, sometimes. Pack a picnic and get going. And take some fun with you!
20 | YETI Hopper
If you haven’t Yet….just do it. You won’t regret it. Best cooler ever. More fun on the road, even when the road is right out back.
21 | Bocce
Bocce is one of my very favorite outdoor family games: goes anywhere, and…check on delivery, but you can customize the carrying case of this one.
Gifts For The Guy Who Mans The Grill
It smells good, it makes warmth, it’s easy to clean, and it’s delicious. Long live our love of the grill, the smoker, and the griller and the smoker. And the fire pit. Basically, we like to burn big and hot around here.
22 | Solo Grill
Long live our TME love of the Solo Stove, and now the Solo Grill. We are girls who are always hungry, apparently. This is yum.
23 | Traeger
If I didn’t already have a grill, I’d have this, and it’ll be my next for sure. It grills, smokes, and sits and looks so pretty in its spare (off rib) time.
Gifts For The Guy Who Knows Better, Now
I ***may have gotten lost in a YouTube deep dive the other night that basically started with Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Maya Angelou and went to places I have no regrets going — as one might online. There was a piece I watched in full, it was MO and OW, together, on stage, for a Women’s conference. When asked what she had to say to the men of the world, MO answered, “Do Better.” The end. For those who can use a little inspiration toward that end, and for those who already do, ALL THE TIME, these:
24 | A Promised Land
I watched Michelle and Oprah talk about all kinds of things on YouTube late one night recently. Re: men, MO offered this one bit of advice, “Do Better.” I’d say he did. Maybe not perfect, but certainly better. Great inspirational coffee table book.
25 | Shinola Runwell
This will run, well, for life. For the guy who will too…this is a forever gift, that you’ll want to borrow, time and time again.
I love all the good guys and all the amazing men in my life, truly deeply madly, all of them. You too?
xoxo,
A
