Love Clog Sandals? We Do, Too. A Round-Up Of Favs

I’ve been a longtime fan of clog sandals and each year I look forward to some cute variations in addition to the tried-and-true favs. I started seeing them everywhere recently so I had to round up the latest styles! Clog sandals are just that perfect mix of classic and cute for spring & summer. AND they give you height when you want it without the discomfort of a heel. (Unless you rock those higher versions! Love.)

Unexpectedly Cute: Clog Sandals for Summer

I know clog sandals aren’t for everyone, but if you love them, you love them. New to clog sandals? Go for a suede upper like this pair from LOFT. There’s less of a break-in period (none at all if you’re used to wooden soles). And many of these have comfy cushioning so you get all the cuteness of a wooden clog without walking directly on the wooden insole. Sweet!

Clog sandals. You either love 'em or hate 'em, but I LOVE. We're eyeing a stylish mix of classic, cute & comfy. Think: No.6, MIA & Swedish Hasbeens.

1/ Free People Cedar Clog

The Free People Cedar Clog is a great transitional pair between seasons or for those days when the pedi isn’t perfect. FP clogs typically have a really cushioned insole, which is perfect if you aren’t used to a wooden sole. Love these styled with flares or ankle crop straight leg jeans and pants.

2/ MIA Greta Clog Sandal

The MIA Greta sandals are going quickly — probably because they’re under $100! So, so cute, and I find the tread sole easy to wear due to the grip. It also adds some cushion to the wooden sole, and is available in red and brown leather.

3/ Swedish Hasbeens Rutan Tread Sole

Loving this block heel pair in the classic clog brand, Swedish Hasbeens. If you want them to last forever, get this brand.

4/ LOFT Criss Cross Suede Clog Sandals

I have the LOFT Criss Cross Suede pair in taupe, and they’re so easy to wear and style. They have a cushion on the heel of the insole that makes them comfy, too. The suede upper is the comfiest, IMO! (Also in black.)

5/ Korks Abloom Perforated Clog

These Korks also look really cushiony and super stylish! Loving these close-toed options, too perhaps for a casual workplace. Currently on sale at Nordstrom Rack!

6/ No.6 Cross Slide

No.6 make my very favorite lined clog boots and their quality is unmatched by any (except Swedish Hasbeens.) This style is gorgeous, adorable, AND comes back enough on the foot that it wouldn’t flop. Also, this color is simply beautiful.

7/ Swedish Hasbeens Kringlan

These Swedish Hasbeens are a classic and sadly selling quickly. Some sizes are at Amazon, too. Understated sophistication and a bit higher of a heel. (Also in black.)

8/ Mirje Lower Heel Swedish Hasbeens

These Mirje Swedish Hasbeens are a little better stocked, for now. They have a lower more walkable heel, but still the great classic design and quality of Swedish Hasbeens. The pretty tan color is easiest to style/most versatile.

9/ MIA Abba Sandal

Another closed-toe style, this MIA Abba shoe is also under $100 and has a cushioned footbed. This color is so so good! It also comes in quite a few other shades. I feel like I want to try a pair in this style and possibly even attempt with a pretty, feminine sock…thoughts?

10/ Madewell Farrah Slingback

This Madewell Slingback is another classic style in a classic brown. Madewell usually has a few clog styles each season and while I haven’t tried them, they seem to be super popular and always sell out. I like that this has the back strap to keep it on your foot and adjusts to fit well. It comes in a lighter croc style color, too, but it looks like an odd color online. Hmm. The leather of the brown seems like it would break in better, as well.

11/ Loeffler Randall

These Loeffler Randall sandals are super fun and a little more boho-glam than I tend to be, but I couldn’t resist including them. They’re also selling quickly, but I’ll keep an eye out for similar styles. They have that Dr. Scholl’s vibe but elevated. I like it. Ooh, they come in a chic floral, here.

The Clog Sandals I’m Wearing Right Now

Since I have and love these, I thought I’d show a little close-up of the LOFT clog sandals. I love them with my cropped jeans and dresses. They also look great with a ribbed midi skirt and knotted tee.

Now I want them all. I love the height they give me without having to be in a heel. To me, these are easier to walk in than flat forms. And oh-so-cute! (And supportive for your back, no less!)

There are so many great clog brands out there, so I know this just scratches the surface of the cute options. Let me know if you have any favorites!

  1. Laura, this is a great post! I just did a semi-long search for Swedish Hasbeens and stumbled on an amazing pair of Sandgrens that just fell into my Amazon cart–and they were the keepers! Have you tried their sandals?

  2. Can you do a post on how to wear t shirts with high waisted straight jeans. Tucking in? Half tuck ? Belt? No belt? If yes belt .. can you find one? I have 2 belts that I bought at the gap in the aughts.. I don’t understand belt fashion

    • I’ve been tucking tops in more often lately but I’ll try to throw together a little video! I’m so short waisted that most of the time belts don’t work on me, unless they’re part of a belted dress or something where the fabric is the same and doesn’t cut me off at the middle. I think if you want a belt look maybe look for a denim belt that matches the jeans you’d want to wear them with. Scotti did that lately on a pair and it was so cute. In warmer weather I mostly stick to a knotted tee and I just cover up the jean waistband.

  3. I bought a pair of clog sandals from Target (Reagan mule clog) a couple weeks ago that are super cute! I also just ordered the Korks Wynne clog sandal. I’m feeling all the 70’s vibes with these and flare leg jeans!
