Styling Bright Blue Winter Coats

Cobalt, sapphire, royal – whatever you want to call this shade of blue, it’s so much more fun to wear on dreary winter days than typical black or gray! I picked up this gorgeous blue boiled wool coat during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and happily it’s even more discounted now! It’s incredibly cozy and the fit is amazing (especially if you have a larger bust or are wider through the shoulders). The other thing I love about this vibrant blue color is how many other colors and patterns it plays well with when pairing with winter accessories. A few color combos I put together are bright blue and oxblood/blush, black + pops of brights, olive green/camo and leopard print – check the winter accessories boutique for my picks!

Cobalt Blue + Black & Brights

Perfect pops of bright play well against a sophisticated black background.

scarf: Kate Spade Ma Cherie Handknit Muffler : The cutest chunky knit striped wool scarf…with cherries on top.

hat: Fox Pompom Hat – Love the stripe of bright blue in the oversized pompom.

gloves: Heart Leather Gloves – The ruby red suede hearts on black leather gloves are to die for. These rainbow leather gloves  are so good, too!)

Cobalt Blue + Olive/Camo

This was the color combo that got me started on this post idea! Love the vibrant blue + earthy olive/khaki pairing.

hat: Rebecca Minkoff Slouchy Beanie with Headphones: Perfect for people like me who lose all the things. My favorite is the Dark Moss, but all 5 colors in this TME team favorite designer’s hat are gorg.

scarf: Francesca’s Lina Striped Leopard Scarf: Love the blend of stripes and leopard done in olive/camo shades.

mittens: Barbour Waxed Cotton MIttens with Faux Fur Trim: Barbour stuff is so well-made, these durable waterproof mittens with cozy fur trim are no exception. Great earthy brownish-olive tone that goes with so many things, too.

Cobalt Blue + Oxblood/Blush

Gorgeous oxblood and delicate blush play in nice contrast to the electric blue, and can pretty much be neutrals with the rest of your wardrobe!

oxblood hat: Knit Beanie with Faux Fur Pompom – Can’t go wrong with this $15 on-trend and classic from Nordstrom.

blush hat: Free People Everday Slouchy Beanie – Great slouchy shape for casual looks. Comes in a bunch of colors, I like the blush and bright yellow!

scarf: H&M Cashmere Scarf – Great price for cashmere and a gorgeous blush. Also comes in more colors, I like the oxblood, too.

gloves: Touch Zip Boucle Tech Gloves – Cool moto styling and fun wooly texture that’s tech-friendly!

Cobalt Blue + Leopard Print/Faux Fur

scarf: J.Crew Leopard Faux Fur Stole: I picked this one up during a recent sale, planning to take it off sometime in April.

hat: Kate Spade Leopard Beanie: Kate Spade knows how to do leopard print right. Meow!

gloves: J.Crew Leopard Italian Haircalf Leather Gloves – Luxe gift idea on stylish Christmas lists everywhere.
