I am so excited about Supergoop!’s newest products. They’ve always had the best selection of sunscreen products; from the only sunscreen Greenlea would let me put on her body, to their amazing makeup setting spray, to Shana’s favorite powder, they always seem to be one step ahead in the SPF game. (I mean, they even have a solution for those of us who always forget to put sunscreen on the part in our hair. I’ve made that mistake again and again, not wanting to slather greasy sunscreen into my hair, and ended up with a bright red part that started to peel days later. Not cool.) Their latest inventions? A makeup primer with SPF 40 and eyeshadow with SPF 30. Both of which are immediate must-haves in my makeup bag.
Unseen Sunscreen, Supergoop!’s 100% invisible makeup primer, is an Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner. It looks and feels like a makeup primer, helping foundation to go on smoother and keeping it on longer. You can wear it alone or under makeup, and it adds hydration for a slightly glowy effect. It has SPF 40 and protects your skin from the blue light that’s emitted by your phone and computer. I no longer have to worry about which foundations of mine have SPF in them . . . I just layer them over this primer and finish with this makeup setting spray. YESSSS.
This primer is so smooth and makes your foundation look flawless!
I’m always on the search for cream eyeshadow to wear in the summer when it’s hot. I want something easy to apply that stays put and won’t crease. These shadows are exactly that — PLUS they have an SPF of 30. They glide on seamlessly, blend easily and won’t fade or flake throughout the day. (I may have worn them overnight in the name of “research” . . . it had nothing to do with being too tired to wash my face.) They can be worn alone or used as a base for other shadows and liners. There are four colors to choose from, and I suggest buying a lighter shade and a darker shade to blend together.
You can apply it with a brush or your finger . . . I use a brush to apply it exactly where I want and my finger to blend.
In the picture above, I’m wearing golden hour all over my lids, sunset in the outer crease, and first light in the inner corner on both my upper and lower lash line.
