After my bermuda shorts article, I had lots of people asking me to style them with flats. I totally get it . . . I reach for those “fancy” Sam Edelman sandals when I’m going on a date, but day to day life doesn’t have me rocking those shoes. So instead of wearing wedges or wraparound sandals, I wore the most casual shoe I could find: the flip flop. These shorts are growing on me more and more. They’re super comfortable and easy and provide extra coverage without the frump. (And they’re being restocked all the time).
We’re visiting family in North Carolina (Carolina Beach) and I can’t get enough of the weather, the food and (especially) the ocean. I LOVE the ocean. I turned into a kid the second I saw it. Greenlea is another story. We’ll work on her.
Wearing:
Good American Bermudas, also in dark wash
Free People Tank: I love the shape of this tank (and the price!). Comes in a ton of colors.
Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack: The fringe version is long sold out, but the entire TME team loves our Julian backpacks . . . so worth the investment!
Nickel & Suede Earrings: My favorite earrings . . . statement earrings that don’t weigh down your ears.
Hourglass GIRL Lip Stylo in Lover: I’ve been looking for a truly moisturizing lipstick that looks like a lipstick and not a balm or gloss. This is perfect . . . super pigmented, feels good on your lips and doesn’t dry them out like so many lipsticks. I wore it without liner and loved it. (Available in lots of colors).
Sandals: Similar gold flip flops here and here
XOXO,
Scotti
Thanks! I enjoyed. It looks equally good with heels and flip flops. I’m partial to flip flops 🙂
This look is great on you! I love tight denim Bermuda cutoffs too.
