Mix & Match: Our Picks for a Toddler Capsule Wardrobe

I’ve sworn by capsule wardrobes for Greenlea pretty much since she was born. Sticking to a general color scheme and buying clothes that mix and match easily makes getting dressed SO. MUCH. EASIER. Now with baby Ozzie, I’m finding that I gravitate towards using a capsule wardrobe even with his young age. Easier is always better. Here’s some inspiration for your kiddos:

Toddler Capsule Wardrobe for Girls

I love this one. Grays and blacks with a bit of cream and pink thrown in. Of course, I had to throw in a faux leather moto jacket and tulle skirt . . . pretty much Greenlea’s favorite combo.

Top Row: Pom-pom Hat, Panda Sweater, Polka Dot Tee, Moto Jacket

Middle Row: Pink Vest, Striped Peplum Tee, Grey Sweater, Pink Bear Hoodie

Bottom Row: Tulle Skirt, Sequin-kneed Jeans, Pink Pants, Heart Leggings, Black Leggings

Shoes: Glitter Sneakers, Black Moto Boots

Toddler Capsule Wardrobe for Boys

Putting together a boys’ collage is way more fun now that I have a little man at home. I’m loving the combo of red, black and navy.

Top Row: Striped Hat, PeacoatGingham Shirt, Shawl Cardigan

Middle Row: Grey button up, Denim Jacket, Buffalo Plaid Shirt, Striped TeeNavy Hoodie

Bottom Row: Lined Jeans, Buffalo Plaid SneakersBlue Jeans, Grey JoggersDenim Joggers

Shoes: Navy Shoes, Buffalo Plaid Sneakers

Gender-Neutral Toddler Capsule Wardrobe

We thought we’d add in a gender-neutral wardrobe, which was surprisingly difficult! There’s a serious shortage of kids clothes that don’t fall squarely into the “male” or “female” category (and I kind of think that’s too bad).

Top Row: Fair Isle Hat, Mittens & Scarf, Faux Fur Hooded Parka, Navy Hoodie, Green Graphic Tee, Fair Isle Pjs

Middle Row: OverallsBeige Sweater, Bear Hat Graphic TeeBurgundy Zip-upExplore Tee

Bottom Row: Green SneakersRed PantsJeansBurgundy Sweats, Dark Denim Jeans

  1. Thank you so much for doing a gender neutral wardrobe! I have a daughter who loves vehicles and a son who loves butterflies and despite being 1.5 years apart they are the same toddler size so it’s easier to share their clothes but so hard to find things that will work for both of them!
