Having dependable, quality basics that act as a “jumping-off point” for an everyday outfit is really invaluable to me. Bonus points if they are a basic that isn’t so basic — an elevated basic, if you will. Can I please say ‘basic’ one more time? Yes, yes I can. I LOVE A GOOD BASIC!
Daily Ritual is a brand I came across while perusing the Amazon.com Wonderland. The stand-out look of their pieces is really what caught my attention initially, regardless of the fact that they are all simply staple-type stuff such as t-shirts, turtlenecks, leggings, everyday dresses…and the like. These are the types of things I realize I regularly need, though. Probably you, too, right? They seem to be always and simultaneously so necessary and wearing out way too quickly.
So. OKAY. I was interested. Daily Ritual got me scrolling, clicking and considering. Their pieces looked like comfortable, easy and cool styles — ones I would actually be happy to wear any given day. Also, (and this is what really got me) the price point is affordable. Yessssss.

I’ve tried all of the pieces on now, and I want to share my favorite not-so-basic basics with youuuu…(pssst — they’re ll under $30!!!)
My Favorite Basics From Daily Ritual on Amazon
Casual Tops To Rock On The Daily
My Favorite Little Black Top
I’ve been wearing this particular top on the regular. Catch my French Style post? It’s such an easy, pretty basic. I wear it with everything — shorts, skirts, blue jeans, black jeans, etc., It has proved its worth time and again.
Slouchy Pullover Top (TTS, wearing S)
Hoodie You Can Wear As A Top
What I like about this one is that it looks like a hooded sweatshirt, but feels more like a top. It’s heavy enough to be worn in cooler weather…and it’s so comfortable. I like to wear it with high-rise denim, as it does wear more like a cropped style. Not a short crop, but a bit!
Hooded Pullover (TTS, wearing S, heather grey)
Pretty Blue Pullover
The color on this one is gorg, and I like those side cutouts. They make it a not-so-basic basic. I’m wearing it with black jeggings (seen below), but I also wear it with a light denim wash and taupe booties, and it’s perfecto.
Terry Cotton Pullover (TTS, wearing S, Indigo blue)
Off-The-Shoulder Sweatshirt
It’s date night, but you don’t want to get out of your sweats? Wear this top. It’s got the flirty/sexy thing going on, but feels like a sweatshirt. Amazing.
Cold Shoulder Tunic (TTS, wearing S)
Funnel Neck Pullover
Chic and cozy. A bit of a swingy style, which looks almost a bit mod. I love it with a relaxed jean.
Funnel Neck Pullover (TTS, wearing S, Sharkskin grey)
The Perfect Layering Turtleneck
While this one is slightly see-through, it is so lightweight and soft that it’s the perfect layering piece. I like wearing it with a sweater, dress or jacket over top. If I wear it solo, I usually wear either a nude bra or white tank underneath.
Jersey Long-Sleeve Funnel Neck Shirt (TTS, wearing S, white)
Side-Slit Sleeveless Top
These tops are incredible and I had a lot of people asking about them on Instagram. It’s that side slit! Very cool look and easy to throw on with my favorite jeans and sneaks.
Jersey Sleeveless Tunic (TTS, wearing S, charcoal grey)
It Comes in White, too!
Jersey Sleeveless Tunic (white)
Cool, Comfy Pants For Everyday
Leggings That Look Like Jeans, but Feel Like…Well, Leggings
I haven’t worn jeggings in years, but I had to give these a chance. I am always looking for something to throw on for school drop-off in the early a.m. These are great! I like that they look like jeans, which makes me feel like I’m wearing actual pants.
Skinny Stretch Jegging (wearing S/Long, black)
Cozy Low-Key Dresses
The Softest, Heather Grey Turtleneck Dress
The seam down the front makes this basic turtleneck dress way more interesting — almost like an update to the classic style. It’s also so comfortable (I feel like I’m starting to sound a bit redundant at this point).
Long-Sleeve Turtleneck Dress (wearing S, heather grey)
Striped Swing Dress for Everyday
I immediately thought of Twiggy when I saw this one, because of the swing style and mock neck. It is a bit longer than the styles she wore, but that’s a good thing for those of us who have to bend over. Also, it’s SO COMFORTABLE.
Jersey Mock-Neck Swing Dress (TTS, wearing S)
Chic Black Midi Dress
A chic black midi…that just so happens to be a stretchy jersey material. It’s something I can wear every day, with many different footwear options. I can wear it alone or I can layer over it with sweaters and/or jackets. It’s a winner, for sure.
p.s. I have washed this one (laid out to dry), and it still looks great…as seen below…
Jersey V-Neck Dress (wearing S, black)
V-neck T-Shirt Dress
Another t-shirt dress for everyday and I freakin’ love it in the blue. I like to wear the grey hooded top over this one (see above) to get a sporty-chic look…and I top it all off with my Golden Goose sneaks. Of course.
BTW: I also washed this one (laid out to dry!) and so far so good. You can see it’s a bit wrinkly below and could have used a good steaming.
Short-Sleeve V-Neck T-Shirt Dress (wearing S, medium blue)
They good.
Cheers,

Love this post! I’ve been so curious about the quality and fit of that brand since I saw it on amazon awhile ago. So affordable!
I also have that last blue dress and love it! I just throw it in the dryer and it’s been fine.
I have been pleased! I just recommend hanging or laying flat to dry. Cheers.
Daily Ritual even carry plus size in a lot of the items you love. Thanks for the recommendation! Great post!!
Thanks for giving us a great online option! ?
Ordered the black jeggings after seeing them here, and I LOVE them! They are comfy and great for casual wear. Don’t believe the Amazon reviews, though – they are DEFINITELY still leggings and not particularly office appropriate unless you are in a very casual office or you always wear a bum-covering top and nice heels.
