Let’s face it, it is cold AF right now. But to be fair, I think anything below 50 degrees is too chilly for me — I am a sun child through and through.
I was beyond thankful to kick off 2022 in beautiful Miami. So when I got back to Colorado and was greeted with so much chilliness, I immediately began dreaming of all the warm vacay spots I want to visit.
The top of my list? Cabo.
Cabo San Lucas Dreams: Packing List For A Beach Vacay In Mexico
The gorgeous blue waters, fresh seafood, salsa dancing, and of course, spicy margs for days. I want to eat tacos at Toro Cabo, dance the night away at The Nowhere Bar, and charter a yacht with my besties to see the infamous Arch of Cabo San Lucas. Yes, I want it all, and I am so confident that it’s going to happen this year!
But until I book my flight, I’ll be dreaming of what I’d pack for a sunny and sexy beach vacay in Cabo San Lucas!

1. Reformation Lili Linen Dress
I swear Reformation is my go-to when I am looking to impress: my 30th birthday, my brother’s graduation, and many a fancy night dancing with my gal pals (and okay, okay ex-boyfriends). Needless to say, I am in love with Reformation and their dresses are perfection. The Lili linen dress is just what I want to wear in the tropics. It’s great for traipsing down cobblestone streets in a pair of sneaks and can easily be dressed up to wear at a gorgeous dinner.
2. Mara Hoffman Raina Bikini Top & Lydia Bottom
Everything about Mara Hoffman screams vacation vibes. Her swimwear is ultra-luxe and always makes me feel so sexy. I typically go for her one-piece cutout suits, but the Raina bikini top & Lydia bottom are a gorgeous color and the texture is so interesting and timeless. P.s, Shana love and wears Mara Hoffman swim, too!
3. California Waves Zebra Cutout Swimsuit
If there ever were a time to give Zebra print a try it would be in Cabo. There’s something about vacationing that makes patterns, unique outfits, and bold pieces feel so much more fun! I absolutely love everything about this swimsuit; the cutouts are sexy, the black and white makes it feel more sleek and the pattern is perfection.
4. Reformation Durango Dress
I already spilled the tea that Reformation has the best dresses for special occasions, and spoiler alert: they have stellar dresses that are perfect for everyday wear too. The Durango dress is the cutest dress to throw on over your swimsuit and it can easily transition to an evening look as well. The color is oh-so-gorgeous!
5. Mara Hoffman Sara Dress
This entire capsule wardrobe was inspired by the hero piece that is this dress. The vibrancy of the colors, the beautiful pattern, and the square neckline… it just says Cabo vacation to me. This is certainly an investment piece, but IMO, it’s totally worth it!
6. J.Crew Textured Summer Straw Hat
A sunny beach vacation wouldn’t be complete without a cute hat to shade you from the sun. It’s slightly oversized and the woven material gives an effortlessly put-together look!
7. J.Crew Cotton Voile Sarong Skirt
Finding coverups that actually work for plus-size gals can be a bit of a challenge, which is why I love the Voile because it’s adjustable! It’s simple yet elegant and available in sizes XS-3X. Cheers to inclusive sizing!
8. Ere Perez Avocado Waterproof Mascara
I wear mascara every single day! It is the one thing that I can’t live without when it comes to makeup, and waterproof mascara is 100% necessary for all the water activities. Ere Perez is a clean beauty brand made with ingredients that are great for your skin and the avocado waterproof mascara is a must for beach and pool days!
9. Eliou Mimi Earrings
I first discovered Eliou back in October, fell in love with the brand instantly and ended up buying my first piece at the beginning of the year when I was in Miami! Eliou jewelry feels like vacation jewelry and the Mimi earrings are exactly what I want to wear to make a subtle statement.
10. HERBIVORE After Sun Spray
We already know the importance of sunscreen, especially during significant sun exposure. But just in case you overdo it in the sun, Herbivore After Sun Spray is the perfect thing to soothe your skin. It has aloe vera, cooling mint, and lavender to keep your skin feeling calm and revitalized.
11. Dr. Barbara Sturm Sun Drops
Not only do you need to wear sunscreen while heading to the beach, but it’s also so important to wear it daily. Dr. Barbara Sturm sun drops are specifically designed to protect your most delicate skin: your face. These drops provide SPF50 protection, are full of vitamin E, Cassia extract, Hyaluronic Acid and so much more. So not only are you protecting your face from the sun, you are also working on reducing wrinkles and improving skin hydration!
12. Patricia Green Hallie Slide
Every gal needs a pair of sandals that are cute for daytime wear, while also transitional for evening attire. This vibrant pop of color would pair perfectly with a neutral look or even a statement dress.
13. Carrie Forbes Esta Bag
I love petite and structured bags, and this esta bag is exactly what I want to carry with me for evening dinners. It’s just the right size to carry all of the essentials and its straps give it that unique, statement look I always love in a bag.
14 | Havaianas YOU St. Tropez Shine Sandals
Havaianas sandals have been my go-to since I first discovered them while working abroad in Brazil. Everyone was wearing them, and it makes total sense as to why. They are beyond comfortable and perfect for hot weather. The St. Tropez shine sandals elevate the classic look and are exactly what I want to wear to the beach.
I don’t know about you all, but I am jonesing for a Cabo vacay, and I can’t wait for all the traveling that I am planning to do this year! Let me know in the comments where are you hoping to escape to soon.
Ta ta for now!
