Weekly Sales Report 9.18

Happy Friday!

Is it too soon for this throwback featured image of Shana pumpkin picking?

I don’t know about you guys, but I am very ready for all the fall things — including cozy pieces like that hoodie coat you might notice above. Shana’s is old (by Vince) but Scotti found a reallllly cute faux fur crew neck on sale this weekend that feels perfect for the #StayAtHome sitch right now.

Just grab a PSL and you’re all set.

Shoes, Cute Loungewear & House Dresses: Editor Faves On Sale

And one other thing worth mentioning — basically everyone in this Sales Report is slightly obsessing over SHOES. You can snag some good ol’ Stan Smith’s on sale, these chic black Madewell slides, OR these Madewell sneaks found by the Comfort Shoe Queen herself (good find, Linz).

Keep scrolling for all sale finds of the weekend!

Linzi’s Sale Picks

I came to terms this week with my fall wardrobe plan definitely needing to take on a more casual vibe… and I’m talking a REAL casual vibe here. I thought I would be up for jeans, a cute top, and boots on most days for school/work-from-home…you know…the whole, “get dressed and you’ll be more productive/feel happier thing”. Most mornings, however, I’ve been sporting house dresses that look fine enough for waist-up Zoom calls and then switching to workout clothes in the afternoon.

So when do I get to wear all of my cute fall clothes? Been thinking I may just need to up my super-casual game by sporting more fashion sneaks instead of my workout sneaks on some days. So…yay for TONS of easy-to-wear cute fashion sneaks that are on sale this week. These are in my cart. And these too. Both 20% off for Madewell Insiders. These lightweight sneaks from Black-Owned Business MLNeiks also look pretty fabulous (not on sale, but supporting small business). Happy weekend, everyone.

Em’s Sale Picks

Hi friends! Happy Friday. We are finally breathing BIG sighs of relief here in the Bay Area and sending all the air-clearing vibes to our neighbors up north. It’s amazing what getting back outside does for one’s mental state, and clearly my sales picks are reflective of that. Shopbop’s sale section is chock full of the PRETTIEST dresses, and I culled it for pieces that I could convince myself to wear around the house and/or with sneakers. This Yumi Kim number is probably the dressiest of the bunch, but it’s gorgeous and a downright steal. And I’d top just about all of them with this faux leather moto (no-white-after-Labor-Day rules be damned!).

It’s been a minute since I browsed Madewell, too, and they’re offering an extra 40% off for Insiders (all you need is an email sign-up) on lots of sale items right now. These flat mules in brown are so chic and easy, and this tie-dye sweater (yes, sweatER, not shirt) feels special and less trendy than some. And my current Abercrombie cart is a little outta control. These embellished mid-rise skinnies and this v-back sweater are heavy contenders with additional 15% off in cart. Together they might be a little Real Housewives, but I think I’m starting to feel OK about that, ha. Have a great weekend!

Hey, hey, Friday. Can you just hop up and celebrate with me a bit please? IT’S FINALLY RAINING HERE IN PORTLAND!!!! We’re in a slow but steady climb back to healthy air quality, and I couldn’t be more relieved. This has been the hardest week of the year and that’s really saying something. Bring on fall. I am so ready. I may even treat myself to a PSL today, and I’m not even usually all about that pumpkin spice, haha. Cheers to everyone in the Pacific Northwest who is breathing that big sigh of relief right now. If you’d like to help out those who were displaced through the fires here in Oregon, the Red Cross and the Oregon Food Bank are great places to support.

There are some phenomenal pieces on sale this weekend. Definitely the best items are my favorite James Perse tees on sale at Nordstrom Rack, down to $35 from $75! The crewneck here and the scoop neck are both closet staples I wear SO much. True to size fit, and I wear a 1 in their sizing (typically a Small in tees.) Read more about my review of them here. The Free People clog boots are my #2 pick as they have a cushioned sole and are the comfiest clog boots I’ve ever put on. I have them in black but this mushroom color is SO pretty! I’m also picking up those adorable stacking organizers from Staples for Sienna’s workspace. Adorbs!! Happy Weekend, y’all. xo

Well I think it’s safe to say summer is pretty much over up here in the UP. I wore a puffer vest the other day and was cold . . . no joke. (At least it was cute, though!) And after all of the burgers and beers, chips and margaritas, a hard reset is definitely needed over here. To say I’m feeling “sluggish” is putting it mildly, and I know energy is the first thing to perk up once you stop eating junk! Laura and I have both had good experiences with FWTFL before, so I’m starting another round of it this upcoming Monday–apparently there are a lot of changes since I first tried it. Anyone want to join me? After so many days of being busy with Greenlea’s virtual school and grabbing a handful of chips and a piece of chocolate for lunch, I just need to hit the reset button before the holidays are on us. And speaking of holidays, I’m kind of loving these sparkly joggers for a little festive touch to our Year of Loungewear. 2020, man. Here are the rest of the things I’ve got my eye on:

Julieta’s Sale Picks

We went “Colombian Camping” last weekend, and I mean Colombian because we cooked Sancocho (delicious stew with two types of meat, plantain, yucca, potato, and tons of green onions and cilantro) and Frijoles Antioqueños (Colombian Style Beans) over the campfire. We made “agua de panela” (which is basically hot water with unrefined cane sugar, very common in countries across Latin America) but is oh so good and takes me back to my grandma’s kitchen. After putting the kids to sleep we had some Aguardiente (Colombian liquor) and talked for hours with the background of Hispanic Music.

Good for the soul and a nice break from everything. This week, though…school started, and balancing clients, blogging work, kids, etc. A whole juggling act. Today from all my picks, I’m obsessed with this dress that’s 40% off. I’ve been in a comfy dresses and jumpsuits kick lately.

Kat’s Sale Picks

Well, another week has flown by, and I am so pumped for the weekend! If you follow me on IG then you may have seen that I have gotten quite a bit of loungewear in lately, and I am still on the hunt for a few more loungewear staples. This weekend I am going to try and get outside to go on a few hikes and am planning on wearing nothing but leggings and loungewear. I am still waiting on my Athleta Tugga jacket to arrive, otherwise, I’d be living in that too! This week the sales are amazing! Anthropologie is running a sitewide sale for 20% off all clothes and an additional 40% off of sale items, and there are tons of cute athletic wear and Good American on sale at Nordstrom. I am so excited for the weekend and am looking forward to keeping it low key!
