Happy Friday and Happy November! Right on cue, it’s feeling especially chilly here in Philadelphia, and all our entire team seems to be wanting is snow. Well, the entire team minus me and Lex. I’ll personally be in hibernation until further notice because…cold. Can anyone recommend a good personal heat lamp? I’m thinking something that will nicely complement my personal space heater.

I’m not kidding.

I just might have to settle for a cozy faux fur throw instead (this one’s on sale). I have a similar one that has earned the highly-coveted spot as my ~favorite blanket~ so that probably means it’s time for another.

Now that that’s taken care of, let’s jump into more sales! We feel the retailers gearing-up for Black Friday already (I know, I know…CRAZINESS) but, let’s use it to our advantage. I’m all for this J.Crew turtleneck that’s back this season. It’s still on sale and still super cute. Maybe I’ll snag the Heather Green color.

Happy weekend! And remember…#TeamBlanketsandTurtlenecks for life.

Halloween 2019 is in the books! We went to Greenlea’s first costume parade at her school…cuteness overload. The kids got so excited to wave to their parents EVERY time they went by (three times, to be exact). I loved it. But now that’s it’s November 1, I want ALL the Halloween decorations out of here. Like, now. I feel the same way about Christmas decorations. I get so excited to get them all out but once the holiday has passed…be gone! Speaking of that, when exactly is the “appropriate” time to start decorating for Christmas? I know lots of you would say the day after Thanksgiving (my dad each and every year, too), but even when it’s so late this year? I kind of want to get them all out this weekend but my husband might think I’m nuts. (Who am I kidding — he already does.) Anyway, there are some great sales to take advantage of this weekend…here are some of my top picks!

Linzi’s Sale Picks

Phew! Anyone else absolutely EXHAUSTED after Halloween madness? The fam went as Foods Dressed Up for Halloween. For example, my 6’3″ husband dressed as a banana dressed up as a cowboy…totally normal, right? I think the excitement alone of fun costumes (I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween) took it out of me…or maybe I just have sugar hangover? The sales are helping, though. SUPER excited about the Anthropologie Sweater Sale. ALL sweaters are included! Anthropologie sweaters on sale AND Halloween all in one week? My head is going to explode…

Hey hey, friends. We made it. Our school district gave everyone the day off today, and I think it’s one of the smartest things they’ve ever done. Whew. My SIL is a teacher and I can’t imagine wrangling kids post sugary late-night celebrations. I hope everyone had a fun Halloween, though!

Also, solidarity to any parents out there who have kids with broken bones. MY HEART goes into my throat every time Sienna runs now. And apparently, she’s already back on the play structure she fell off of last week. Holy. Kids are resilient. Me? Not so much.

But otherwise, there are some gorgeous, colorful things on sale this weekend and I’m loving it. I guess I’m turning over a bright new leaf! Julieta will be so proud. Mango has amazing coats on sale AND the new collab line with Leandra of Manrepeller just launched (I love her), Anthro has sweaters on sale, and J.Crew has some amazing wear-now picks at 30% off with code SOGOOD. Happy weekend, per usual!

Hi hi, everybody! If you follow me on Insta, you know that I had one of the most epic Halloween experiences ever. I went out with my besties and lived my absolute best life as Lizzo! Fun fact is that I have been playing flute for over 20 years now, and I also beatbox on my flute (so random, I know). But I basically have been Lizzo before Lizzo became Lizzo.

Anyway, now that Halloween has settled, I’m in full-blown holiday mode and have been on the hunt for great gifts for my family. I’m the kind of person who likes to buy a gift for someone and a gift for myself. Terrible I know, but the deals I find are too good to resist. My list of sales picks is reflective of some great things I love for myself, plus some amazing finds for others. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! xx, Kat

Friends! Hope everyone made it through Halloween unscathed. Our neighborhood is a pretty legit trick-or-treating scene, and I think, at 4 years old, this is the most fun Lana has had at Halloween yet. She did bail on the family group costume (Harry, Hermione + Ron) at the last minute in favor of a…ballerina — *slight eyeroll because Chris and I put some serious time and effort into our costumes* — but to be fair, she’d already played her part as Harry at least four times this season, so I think a little burnout was to be expected. (Halloween is a monthlong affair around here.) We also kicked off the night with a casual potluck dinner at our neighbor’s house, which was the perfect excuse to introduce our friends to our favorite Hawaiian Shrimp Truck Garlic Shrimp recipe. (We served it more as an appetizer with lots of crusty bread for dipping. Good times!)

I went to Anthro earlier this week, and the sweater situation there is so very good —perfect timing for the epic sweater sale they’ve got going on right now. And J. Crew has loads of current season stuff at 30% off, plus extra 30% off sale with code SOGOOD. Eyeing these lighter wash jeans and this plush bomber, in particular. Oh, and the Levi’s I keep hearing folks rave about are 50% off at Nordstrom RN — hurrah! Happy weekend!

How sad is it that I unpacked all my Christmas decorations while handing out candy on Halloween? Answer: pretty sad. But since Jon and I moved into our house two years ago I’ve gotten kiiiiiinda obsessed with my Christmas decor, I always miss my family during the Holidays even though they are only three hours away in Chicago, it helps to make our place feel like home. This week it went from rainy to freezing in a day. Our Autumn felt like it lasted one week. So, I’ve got Winter wardrobe on the mind and found some AMAZING sweaters at Anthropolgie (they’re whole stock of sweaters are up to 40% off right now) plus some great Winter weather approved boots at Nordstrom. With all the rain we had, our trees shed all their leaves over night, so that’s what I’ll be up too this weekend! yay. xx, Jess

  1. I love your posts but PLEASE post wool-free sweater options for those of us who are allergic to wool, cashmere, alpaca, etc. It seems every recommended sweater contains wool. Thanks and love to all of you!
