I’ve been a long-time fan of SPANX leggings. (Shana and I even styled them up for the holidays a couple of years ago.) They’re awesome. They suck everything in without being too constricting, and they look soooo much better than your typical workout leggings (yet feel just as comfy). I loved the original faux-leather leggings, and was originally excited for their newer moto version…but after trying them on, something didn’t look right. The horizontal stripes made by the moto pattern weren’t flattering on me.
So. I’ve been waiting for SPANX to come out with a pair that has texture without the horizontal lines of the moto leggings . . . and here they are: the new Hip-Zip Leggings. These are even better than the originals. They’ve quickly become part of my daily uniform (more on that later), and I’ve been wearing them with all the turtlenecks and long sweaters.

On a pretty cool sidenote, the founder of SPANX, Sara Blakely, became the first self-made, female billionaire to sign the Melinda and Bill Gates’ and Warren Buffett’s Giving Pledge, promising to give at least half her wealth to charity. She created the Sara Blakely Foundation in 2006 and has since donated millions to charities around the world, focusing on charities that empower underserved women and girls. (I love that!)

XOXO,
Scotti
Those leggings are fabulous. You look like a superhero in them.
I’m starting my holiday lists and I definitely want to get a pair of the Spanx faux leather leggings for my 40-something sister, but can I also get them for my fashionable and sassy 70-something mom? Are they age appropriate? Does Mama Tina wear them? If so I would LOVE to see her styled up in a post wearing them!
