Weekly Sales Report 8.5

Happy Friday! I can’t believe it’s already August. Cheers to these next few weeks of summer — and these end-of-summer sales…like Laura’s favorite designer jeans, on sale at Saks for nearly half off! They’re a splurge but a durable and classic style that’s worth the investment. (These jeans run small; size up one, and they’ll relax perfectly with a bit of wear.)

Designer Jeans, Flowy Midi Dresses & White Sneakers: Top Editor Sale Picks From Gap, Nordstrom & More

Amy found a great alternative to the Vince cardigan in the NSale at Gap — this boyfriend cardigan is 100% cotton and just the right amount of nonchalant slouchiness (use code FRIEND to take off 40%). Backcountry’s end-of-season sale includes some major scores too, like Em’s current obsession: the swishiest pants, ever (in a good way). They dress up and down easily with sandals and an effortless top — the hint of drama is simply delightful. And if you have any upcoming celebrations, Julieta has been stalking this romantic midi dress, and it’s finally on sale! Reviews say it’s even more stunning in person.

Laura’s Sale Picks

Hey, hey, Friday! The past few weeks have felt like actual summer with all our activities…camping, swimming (at TWO gorgeous Swimply rentals!), a block party, fun day camps for the kiddo, and meeting up with EMILY (yep, THAT Emily!) and fam the past couple of days in Bend, Oregon! What?! I know, four years this pal of mine has worked with us, and we’ve never gotten to meet IRL. Head to my IG if you want proof! Love you, friend. More #TMEWestWoast visits, please!!

Yup, My Fave Fancy Jeans On Sale! These Moussy Vintage jeans have been my favorite the past few months, and they’re on sale! AND they’re also in black! You know I’m snagging those! I recommend going up a size for Moussy.

My Favorite Lip Color For Early Fall Drama: This Charlotte Tilbury Happiiss Lip Balm has become my top makeup product, and that’s saying a lot. I’m addicted to lipstick, and this is SO hydrating AND has great color. I love Passion Kiss (soft brown) and Pillow Talk (most popular shade). See me wearing Passion Kiss on my IG. Not really on sale unless you do an auto-ship but SO worth the buy, friends!

MOTHER Jeans I Like Better Than The Tomcats…on sale for $154! I like the fit of these Huffy Skimp styles better than the original Tomcats that I used to like. They’re still high-rise but have a straighter fit and a nice straight, full-length leg. I typically go up a size in them because of my straighter waist.

Happy weekend, friends! Hope you’re getting to enjoy these last weeks of summer or are having a successful back-to-school start! xoxo

Hey, hey, Friday! We’re headed home today after spending a few days in Oregon, soaking in loads of sun, attempting (and failing) to put a dent in Bend’s epic brewery scene — and finally getting together with Laura and her fam IRL. (We even documented it!) Such a long-awaited meeting, and it didn’t disappoint one bit. (The cajun tots and pastries were an added bonus.) Our girls became fast friends too, which was so sweet. We’re already plotting a reunion — can’t wait! Now, for a few sales before we hit the road.

My magic pants are 50% off. Actually, almost everything in this post is on super-sale, but these versatile pants deserve a special nod. So high-drama and so very low-effort. Ideal for travel too. Perfect combo.

Too, uhhh, diapery…? I love a drop-crotch, paperbag-waist situation, but I’m trying to decide if these pants would just give me mega-diaper-butt. But if so, am I kinda OK with that? Might have to order ’em up and find out.

Somehow, these are still in stock. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered these FRAME Le Italien wide-leg crop pants that are on clearance at Nordstrom Rack ($89 down from $328!), and they’re really, really good. The craftsmanship is outta this world, and I can tell they’ll break in to be some of my favorite jeans — ever. The wash is a fun one too. Dark enough to play around with dressing up. True to size.

Was it just me, or did July seem to last the length of three months? I’ve been ecstatic to welcome in August… It’s the loveliest mix of late-summer weather with early fall dreaming, and even though it’s panning out to be a really busy one for me, I’m focused on taking it day by day and trying to soak up everything I can. But let’s jump into sales, because WHOA…

Best Purchase I’ve Made In A Long Time: I’ve been wearing this bright and happy cardigan on repeat! Size large is still available in the sale price that I scored (+ more sizes here if you love it as much as I do).

Too Good To Be True: Stop the presses, one of my all-time favorite pairs of jeans just hit the sale section at Nordstrom (and it’s fully stocked as I’m writing this)! I personally size down because of the oversized design in the waist and hips (I have zero hips/booty). Incredibly comfortable and responsibly made too!

The Most Underrated Sale Section: Zappo’s sale section is always one of the absolute best IMO. There are some huge Sorel scores right now, including the summer sneaker I’ve been using for all hikes/adventures!

Jeans I’ve Always Wanted to Try: I just grabbed some Gap denim from its major Friends & Family Sale (happening now!) — including this style I’ve been wanting to try forever.

It’s my birthday month!!! The celebrations started last week when I hiked in the Colombian Andes — an unforgettable experience — and will continue tomorrow when my husband finally joins us. I can’t wait to wear this sexy dress with boots and a jacket here in Bogotá and at the beach in two weeks. We’re going to the Colombian Pacific, and I can’t wait. I love August!

Finally On Sale: I’ve waited forever for this Reformation dress to go on sale, and it finally did!

The Chicest White Sneakers: I returned these Tory Burch sneakers last year and regretted it so much. They’re back on sale, and I love the minimal pop of color.
