I get to do something very, very cool this weekend – fly to Pittsburgh to attend the World of Vera Bradley event at Macy’s in the Westmoreland Mall from 2-4pm this Saturday. If you’re in the area, COME HANG OUT WITH ME! Please. I would love it.
Vera Bradley has a beautiful new collection and you need to see it. I’m actually blown away, to be quite frank. I always think of high school when I think Vera Bradley, with its pretty prints and cotton material (right? Did you wear them, too, back then?)…but ya’ll. No more is Vera Bradley just for the tweens and teens. It’s now for the classy women that we are, too! Somehow they have nailed that timeless and cool factor in their new bags.
I’m seriously excited about this and I’m even more pumped about the fact that I finally found MY backpack, the one I know I will carry and cherish for a very long time.
dress: Rachel Rachel Roy Lace Illusion Fit & Flare Dress – uh, one word – amazing. It was love…as soon as I put it on. So flattering, so pretty and so incredibly sexy – even with it being a bit longer!…which I really appreciate, by the way. (true to size, for reference)
bag: Vera Bradley Leighton Backpack – this is my very first backpack and let me just say…I’m very happy I held out this long for the perfect fit. This backpack is gorgeous! Not only that, you know when you handle a bag…and you can tell whether it’s well-made or not? Well, this one is very well-made, my friends. There’s no doubt about that. What first drew me to it was its structured style and its size. There’s enough room for STUFF (my stuff, baby stuff, random kid stuff) and yet, it’s not humongous. This bag is seriously chic and practical. It has been a pleasure to carry around.
shoes: Steve Madden Brisk Block-Heel Sock Booties – adore. I don’t even care that they make me well over 6 feet tall. I don’t give a damn! My feet look fiiiiiiiine in these boots and I won’t apologize for it. haha. (wearing size 9.5, for reference. True to size, but I’d go up a half size if you like to wear socks)

I really hope to see some of you this Saturday at Macy’s! Seriously. It would make my life. Writing for a blog is funny, because you’re writing for people and you know they’re reading, but you never really see these people….so seeing you, face-to-face…that would be so awesome. We can hang, chat about kids ‘n stuff…all while ooo-ing and aaa-ing over Vera Bradley’s new collection. It’ll be a good time!
