2014 Is The Year of the Print (Here’s 10 Perfect Ones From Gap’s 40% Off Sale)

Prints are such a strong trend that I swore to stop buying solids last year.  And now?  You might as well consider 2014 the Year of the Print.  Get on board, Mamas!  There is no. easier. way. to upgrade a daily uniform than by adding in a few prints.

Here are some fabulous options from Gap, all capable of keeping up with the daily demands of motherhood.

(use code GAPSAVE for 40% off all items until 1/15)

1.  Printed Sweatshirt in Camo, $40

I've been wearing the heck out of my camo-print tee.  Looks suprisingly pretty with a floral scarf of statement necklace.  I'd also wear this one to work with a pencil skirt and heels.

2. Bomber Jacket in Floral, $98

Get. OUT.  This thing is amazing.  Throw it on over everything…even a spit-up stained tee and an Ergo.

3. Tailored Print Shirt in Navy Dot, $50

Easiest way to wake up a boring sweater.  This also comes in a pretty fabulous stripe.  I love preppy shirts like this with destroyed denim.  I'd tuck it into ripped boyfriend jeans and add ballet flats and a bright belt.

4. Supersoft Split-Neck Henley, $27

Nursing Mamas!  I'd buy this one slightly large and button just the last few buttons of  a long, slouchy cardigan over it (I did this yesterday).

5. Printed Envelop Top in grid, $56

I love the French-girl vibe of the easy top.  I'd buy up a size. (Also comes in stripes, which are on sale.)

6. 1969 Bleached Always Skinny Jeans, $70

These are like acid-washed polka dots.  Whoa.  AWESOME.

7. Slub Floral T, $25

Such an unexpectedly pretty tee.  I'd love it now with coated denim and converse sneaks, later with these shorts to the beach.

8. Printed Ultra Skinny Pants, $30 – $60, depending on print

I love each and every one of these prints.  Perfect for updating your work wardrobe, or any time you need a little bit of polish.  Wear them to work with striped oxford shirt, or on the weekend with a graphic tee.

9. Printed Fit and Flare Dress, $70

A long-sleeve, machine-washable dress in a fabulous print?  Um, YES PLEASE.  I'd wear it now under a puffer and thick tights….later with a denim jacket and baseball hat.  I'll bet converse sneaks would be pretty cute.

10. Patched Always Skinny Jeans, $70

I've been wearing my ancient patched skinnies TO DEATH.  Finally found another option!

The shopping enabler is BACK.  Here's to careful splurges in 2014!

  1. Just as a heads-up… I was so excited by the patchwork skinny jeans as a great spring jean (can’t wait to pair with my Ash wedge sneakers)! But while trying to purchase them I found out that they’re not included in the 40% off sale. 🙁 Still very cute and I’m excited for them… but full-price. Thanks for the enabling, Shana! Here’s to a fantastic 2014 to you and your awesome family!

  2. Oooh, I’ve been eyeing those up….Enabler! 🙂
Love the combo of neutrals (let me count the ways I love navy…) and prints, S!
