Anniversary Sale 2018 Dressing Room Selfies: Julieta’s Picks

Oh Gosh! I shopped, more like I tried on, till I dropped dead on the fitting room’ floor. I seriously did. Only one good thing! This year I didn’t have to rush home to a hungry exclusively breastfed 5 month old baby. He did miss my boob though (still a nursing mama) but was able to entertain himself with other food until I came home 7 hours later! 7 hours? Only had a 30 min lunch break!

What to expect from me? I like affordable tops with designer jeans. Lots of nursing friendly tops as I’ve been mentioning on my Instagram (@theunbosom), high rise jeans that I will talk about in depth in another post, yellow or gold everything. It’s one of the colors of the season and like 4 pairs of shoes. You know what happened to me? They wouldn’t let me bring shoes to my fitting room without purchasing them. So I only chose 4 to bring upstairs and made do with them. If you get one pair of shoes get these Sam Edelman Loafers. I swear 3 other women got them the minute they saw me trying them on. They complimented me on my choice! I guess is good!

Info for sizing: I’m 5’2″ and weight around 118 pounds. Please note that tops usually go low on me because my body is weird, I guess?

Without further ado this represents my 7 hours at Nordstrom!

Jackets and Coats

So hard to imagine wearing a jacket or coat right now but so worth it! The camel coat, pink raincoat and blazer were my favorites.

Coat – Wearing XS. TTS. I LOVED this coat. Wool blend, soft and warm. A camel coat goes with everything and makes everything 1000 times better and more put together.

Top I Jeans I Shoes

Raincoat – XS and TTS. Stylish in the rain. Comes in regular and petite and has a faux fur lining.

Halogen Trench Coat –  It’s long on my petite body but it’s so cute! Love the color, buttons, and love it exactly like this: over black top and jeans and gold shoes.

Chelsea 29 Blazer – Shana says it’s too long for her, I take it as an oversized kind of blazer haha. We are the same height but I loved it and brought it home.

Caslon Utility Jacket – Wearing XS. I would definitely wear it with a bright top under like I did here. It comes in a camp print too but I personally prefer this one.

J.Crew Coat – Size 0. I got the red boiled wool coat last year. Best purchase ever. The boiled wool is really warm.

Sweaters

Topshop sweater – Loved all the colors except for the pink. My favorite part are the balloon sleeves.

Paige Jeans – Wearing 25 in this pic but then changed into 24. My favorite jeans of the sale.

Shoes – Go half size up. Not totally into mules but couldn’t ignore the color and the effect they have on outfits. So I got them. More colors available.

Topshop sweater – Runs TINY. I ended up going for a size US8 but I love the colors and fit.

Paige Jeans – Wearing 25 in this pic but then changed into 24. My favorite jeans of the sale.

Shoes – If between sizes go down. These shoes are AMAZING. To tell you that 3 other women immediately got them when I was trying them on. Super comfortable too.

Topshop Sweater – Love the boxy fit and side buttons. I think it’s great for nursing with a nursing tank under.

Frame Jeans – Really soft and comfortable. Wearing 25.

Marc Fisher Boots – Chelsea pointy boots have been part of my closet for years. Love them.

Caslon Sweater – I found this very hidden in a rack but it was one of my favorite. Comes in the color pink above and yellow below. I love that yoke!

Caslon Sweater – I found this very hidden in a rack but it was one of my favorite. I love that yellow!

Madewell cross-back – Wearing XS. I love it as a nursing friendly option. The open back makes it easy to just pull up and feed.

Topshop ribbed sweater – Wearing US 4. That neckline and sleeve details.

BP Raw Hem Skirt – Wearing 25. I haven’t had a denim skirt in a while and loved the way this one looked.

Vince Shoes – I love the platform and soft leather. They come in black and burgundy too.

Pretty Tops with Nursing Friendly Options

I’ve been a nursing mom for 4 years and if its anything like with my oldest I still have one year to go so I live for stylish nursing friendly tops! Check some of the sweater I just shared above too.

Chloe and Katie wrap top – XS and TTS. It’s a pretty affordable top. Loved the floral print. You can wear tucked-in or not and I specially love the contest with the gold shoes. Also comes in stripes. See below.

Leith Wrap top – Wearing XS. This top needs a tank under or getting a snap sewn in. It opens easily but I love the fabric and fit.

Leith Wrap Sweater -Wearing XXS. Size down if petite. I got two colors of this sweater. I found it to be very flattering and soft. It’s on the crop side so I wear it with high-rise jeans.

Get This Button Down…

This Rails shirt is the softest, most flattering shirt I’ve ever had. I got another color last year and is amazing. Also nursing friendly! More colors available.

..and This One

Madewell Top Wearing XS. Very lightweight and soft.

AG Jeans – Wearing 25.

Vince Shoes

Dresses and Jumpsuits

Leith Dress – S0 comfortable and nursing friendly. I’ve been obsessed with the crew neck version bt can’t do it because I breastfeed.

Leith Sleek Mini Dress – The V-neck went too low on me but it’s gorgeous!

Free People dress – XS. A comfy forgiving dress. It drapes nicely and can be worn right now with sandals or later like I did with boots.

ASTR the label – XS. Fell in love since I saw it in the catalogue.

Marc Fisher Boots – Chelsea pointy boots have been part of my closet for years. Love them.

Leith Jumpsuit – Has a cutout on the belly which on me is almost nonexistent. It was big for me but it’s a good one.

Last but Not Least…

BP satin top – If you see it, get it immediately. Sells out fast!

Leith Pants – Wearing XXS. I’m obsessed with these pants. The fit is great. I need to crop them a little but other than that they fit like a glove.

  1. I notice that your clothing posts lately are all featuring individuals who wear XS and S sizes. You know that some of us out here wear M or L, right? Y’all have great taste – but I can see how the clothes look on super skinny girls on the Nordstrom website. Just saying that I’d love to see more size diversity….

  2. Love this round up, thank you! What size did you decide on for the corduroy blazer, I love its retro vibe! I second the Leith dress, all kids of sexy on you and Shana!!

  3. Andrea Greenhill on

How do the camel colored Leith pants fit stretch wise? It’s hard to tell the fabric on the website. Is there any stretch? Zip close? Pull up waist? Thanks!

    • Holding them right now. They have a side zipper. Minimal stretch but I think they run big. I got the XXS and I’m never and XXS in pants. I’m usually a 25 in jeans if that helps.
