Can I just start by saying I’m slightly navy velvet-obsessed this year? There’s just something so rich and beautiful about navy velvet, and I want to wear it all the time. OK. We got that out of the way. Can I also tell you that this fabulous look right here is all from Walmart.com? I know, right? When they reached out to partner with TME, this homegrown Bentonville gal was kinda excited. I grew up in the Home of Walmart, and was even in Girl Scouts and went to high school with Mr. Sam’s (aka Sam Walton’s) granddaughter. You won’t meet a sweeter person.
Anyway, my hometown is the Walmart town. Recently, a few members of the Walton family have put heart and soul back into our little town, and have made it thrive again with a lovely art museum and a total refurbishment of the downtown area. Pretty cool, right? You may have seen some pictures when we were home recently on my IG (@elletrain). You also may have heard my Southern accent come out a little more while I was there. It happens.
But, while I’m waxing nostalgic about Bentonville, what’s also of note are some great new offerings on Walmart’s website. It got an overhaul in May, it’s more easily shoppable these days, and they have some super-cute stuff. I wasn’t sure what I’d find — but WOW….Blown away. They now carry both everyday and premium brands like Lord & Taylor.

The Outfit
I’m so digging how this outfit came together, you guys. The pants are pull-on style, and super-comfy and flattering. The soft deep blue blazer I’m just loving, and this scarf is also super-cozy warm; it’s even long enough to do that cool knot thing (I won’t tell you how many tries before I got it…). The bit of sparkle with the sequin tank underneath and the fun accessories pull it all together for the holidays. I could see this look working well for office-to-party. Just swap the cami for a cute sweater like this one for the office. And the shoes….Yes, love love. So cute and still walkable. My favorite combo.
Outfit Details
Jacket – This lovely blazer is so pretty. It’s from Calvin Klein through Lord & Taylor. It’s super-comfy and has some stretch. I love the color with these pants. Wearing a size 6. I probably could have gone with a 4 because of the stretch.
Tank – This little bit of sparkle was great under this jacket. It’s got a bit more of a swingy shape than I realized, but it works fine. It’d be super-cute over a fitted black turtleneck or Shana’s t-shirt trick for NYE. I sized up to a Medium, and I’m glad I did because it’s a bit cropped. Perfect with the high-waisted pants though.
Pants – These gorgeous brocade pants are pull-on style, plus flattering and stunning. I’m wearing a 6 Petite here, which is my typical size in Petites. They are SO good you guys. They’d be great for work or dress up any day with a cozy black sweater.
Shoes – These cute Design Lab shoes might be my favorite piece of the outfit! They’re comfy and adorable. The ankle ties are super soft. They fill a hole in my shoe wardrobe I didn’t know I had! Love. TTS.
Scarf – Soft, lightweight but warm, and long enough to do the cool knot thing. I’m in love with this. Also comes in gray.
Bag – This is a fun little bag that actually holds a phone, small wallet and lipstick. Love that it has a shoulder strap. Shana is proud of me for actually remembering to get a sparkly bag.
Bracelets – Gold bracelet and rhinestone stacking bracelets – I’m in love with both of these — they add sparkle and a fun little bling to this outfit.
Who has a fun office party coming up? Around the holidays I tend to miss the fun of working in an office setting. Maybe Camper and I will have to have our own potluck office party soon. Haha. Whatever your holiday plans are, have fun out there, friends!
