There is something so incredibly beautiful about the outdoors. The fresh air, the sun on your skin, and that euphoric feeling of reaching the summit of your hike. It’s all so magical. While I love spending time outside in nature during the day, I prefer all the luxurious amenities of a great place to stay at night. This is why glamping is an absolute must for me.
It’s the best of both worlds, and my most recent trip to Moab took glamping to a whole new level. I stayed in a beautiful tent called Under Canvas, which gives you all the experience of being in nature without the less-than-luxurious moments that come with traditional camping. Each tent has electricity, running water, and a plush bed to sleep on. Not only did I stay in a luxe location, but I also packed an amazing assortment of clean beauty essentials that are a 10 out of 10 for glamping (or any vacay for that matter).
Clean Beauty Essentials For Your Next Trip (Body, Hair & Skin)
I am a clean beauty junkie through and through, and the clean beauty essentials I packed were perfect for my Moab trip. I packed some stellar sunscreen, CBD balm for my sore muscles post-hike, and the most luxe, clean skincare on the market to finally try for myself. I personally am one of those people who loves to pack testers for the road. Risky, I know, but it’s worked for me all these years. Nordstrom had all of my go-to clean beauty favs, plus a few I had been eyeing up.
Before we get onto the packing list, I have to mention this ultra cute cosmetic case that I recently bought. It has a sheer, clear finish to it and is also waterproof. Perfect for any camping or glamping trip!
Okay, let’s get onto all the tea of what I packed!
Clean Beauty Glamping Essentials: Natural Body Care Products
When it comes to glamping, it’s important to make sure you are prepared with all the body essentials. Deodorant, body wash, lotion…and we can’t forget the sunscreen and hand sanitizer! All are absolute musts for your outdoor excursions and great for a refresh post hike.
Alo Superfruit Moisturizing Body Lotion & Mega-C Body Wash
I am a HUGE fan of all things Alo. I love their online workout platform, and even though they aren’t on the inclusive sizing train, I am a huge fan of their activewear when I can find something that works for me. When I learned that Alo was launching a clean beauty line that is exclusive to Nordstrom, I knew I needed to give that a try, too. And let me tell you all, I am in LOVE! The Mega-C body wash and the lotion smell 10 out of 10, and I absolutely love how hydrating the lotion is. I mean these two drip in vacay vibes, and I personally love how lightweight and hydrating the lotion is and vitamin C in the body wash is beyond good for your skin.
Supergoop! Play Everyday Sunscreen
If there were only one thing you could pack for a glamping trip, I would 100% recommend it be this sunscreen. It is absolutely essential for an entire day of outdoor activities. I personally love that Supergoop! is a lightweight formula and made with sunflower extract. I also am a fan of their Defense Refresh Setting Mist because it provides SPF while also setting your makeup. It’s something I personally use daily to protect my skin from the harsh sun rays.
Kosas Sport Chemistry AHA Serum Deodorant
I have been using Kosas Sport deodorant for several weeks now, and it’s incredibly good! I had been using Native for years, but a few months back I noticed it stopped working for me. I tried several different natural deodorants, and nothing seemed to work for me. That is until I found Kosas Sport’s Chemistry AHA Serum Deodorant, which is so much better than traditional deodorants. This is a serum-based deodorant and it’s stain-resistant. What I personally love, is that the AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) help lower the pH in your underarms so it’s harder for odor-causing bacteria to live there. Less bacteria means less stink. I have also noticed that my armpits are much more smooth, and I haven’t been getting any ingrown hairs. This AHA serum deodorant is a total game-changer for me and it lasts all. day. long.
Noshinku Travel Hand Sanitizer

This organic travel hand sanitizer is the best smelling sanitizer I have ever used. It comes in a compact bottle that can easily fit in your pocket when you are on the go. The eucalyptus scent is refreshing and my hands feel hydrated after each use. This hand sanitizer is made with organic sugar cane and medical-grade alcohol for ultimate cleansing — and it’s also filled with jojoba, argan, rosehip and coconut, which hydrates and refreshes your skin. I love it so much, I decided that I am going to buy a full-size bottle!
Leef Organics Revive CBD Balm
While we were in Moab, we did a ton of hiking. From spending time in the National Park to hiking off the beaten path to see the Corona Arch, we definitely put in our fair share of miles. While I am an avid hiker in Colorado, I still found I was pretty sore in the evenings, which is why I loved Leef Organics Revive CBD balm, which helps alleviate sore muscles and joints. It has a beautiful herbal scent, and helped to soothe my tense shoulder muscles.
Clean Beauty Glamping Essentials: Black-Owned Hair Care Products
Whether I am glamping or staying in a hotel, when I travel, I am not the biggest fan of washing my hair. I instead, like to wash the night before my trip and revive my curls on the road when they need it. The two essentials for my routine include a conditioning spray to rehydrate sections of my curls, and gel or mouse to provide hold.
Sienna Naturals Curl Elixir Primer & Conditioning Spray
The Sienna Naturals Curl Elixir and Conditioning Spray is perfect for those in-between wash days. It refreshes and hydrates your scalp and also revives curls by hydrating them and reducing frizz. It’s full of amazing ingredients including aloe vera, vegan baobab, green pea proteins and grapeseed oil. I spray it directly onto my curls while they are dry and use my fingers to work it through my hair and wrap certain strands around my finger for a more defined look.
Briogeo Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Quinoa Frizz Control Gel
I have been using Briogeo hair products for years now, and the Curl Charisma gel is a part of my holy grail haircare. Now that I live in a dryer climate, I tend to use this in the summer for extra hold when there is a slightly higher humidity. I love it for travel too (especially if you are traveling to climates with higher humidity). This gel provides the perfect amount of hold without weighing down your curls and has the perfect amount of slip when you apply it. It’s an absolute must for me, and the two products I used while glamping worked wonderfully for reviving my curls!
Clean Beauty Glamping Essentials: Dr. Barbara Sturm Skin Care
When I travel, I love to try out new skincare products. I know it sounds risky, but it has worked for me all these years! I think in part I had this tester mentality because I used to travel about half of the year for work and packing light was a huge priority. This trip was no different, and I packed a new (to me) discovery kit that is specifically designed for darker skin tones.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Darker Skin Tones Skin Care Discovery Set
Dr. Barbra Sturm beauty products are the Mercedes of clean beauty. They are as about as luxurious as you can get when it comes to clean skincare, and I totally get why. Every item in the discovery kit is specifically designed for darker skin tones, and they all feel incredible on my skin. Most of these types of products were completely new to me — I am a newbie to using hyaluronic serum, I’ve never used an enzyme cleanser, and I typically don’t purchase products that are designed with my skin tone in mind. The hyaluronic serum felt like silk when I applied it, and the enzyme cleanser comes in powder form and creates a slightly gritty texture. The enzyme cleanser is both a cleansing foam and gentle enzymatic peel in one. I love every single thing I tried from this discovery kit and will give a more in-depth review after I have been using the products for a month or two. But my initial reaction is that I love them! If you don’t have a darker skin tone, then check out this Discovery Kit from Barbra Sturm!
Shop More Clean Beauty Essentials From Nordstrom
I love that Nordstrom has a designated section on their site where you can find some of the best clean beauty products on the market. They are easily one of my favorite places to stock up on clean beauty and I’m always finding something new to try.
I absolutely love the beauty essentials I found for my personal vacay needs! What are some essentials you pack for you glamping or vacay trips?

Ooh amazing! I need to try some of the curl products and that serum deodorant for sure, friend!
LOVE the serum deodorant!
Have been wanting to try a deodorant other than native for a while—I saw you linked the serum and then another one. Do you use the serum and then layer or use it alone? Have you ever tried Beautycounter’s in comparison? I’m with you, Native is good until it’s…really not. Ha! Loved this post!
Right!? I used Native for over a year and then all of a sudden it stopped working. Right now I am using the Kosas serum daily on it’s own, and it lasts all day for me! The other one I linked is the deodorant that Kourtney Kardashian swears by, so I am curious to try it myself. I’ll definitely update when I do!
