Nudestix: The Makeup You Need for Summer

With the summer coming up, I’m on the hunt for non-powder formulas that will help me get a more natural glow without masking my skin (or exacerbating fine lines and wrinkles).

Nudestix “Nudies” are my latest obsession. Nudestix Matte* (also at Nordstrom and Sephora) is a multitasking balm that you can use on cheeks, eyes and lips, and Nudestix Glow (also at Nordstrom and Sephora) is a beautiful highlighter that isn’t too sparkly or shimmery. They look awesome together or on their own, and they’re perfect for warmer weather–long lasting and water-resistant too. (They’re Allure Best of Beauty award winners and now I know why!)

In this quick little makeup tutorial, I talk about how I set it all with my favorite summer product, Urban Decay’s Setting Spray. With the steps in this video, you’ll be good to go all day (and night) long.

*Salty Siren, the color I’m wearing, is exclusively at Ulta but nude peach is similar and sunset strip is similar but a bit deeper.

  1. Thanks Scotti! These look fun to try. What kind of foundation would you recommend to achieve that light, dewy look on older skin? I’ve tried Neutrogena Hydro Boost, but it still looks dry on my face, in my opinion. Have you experienced any stand out winners for summer? Thanks!

    • My all-time favorite dewy foundation-but-not-foundation is Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter (–it gives the most beautiful finish without being too thick and can be mixed with any foundation if you want a bit more coverage!

  2. Scotti, girl, my queen, I just got 3 of these and they’re LEGIT!! I got Naughty N’ Spice, Bare Back and Cherry Blossom Babe! They’re sooooo freaking good!!
