Gap Inc. reached out, asking if we wanted to work on a little video featuring allll of our favorite gifts from their family of brands (Athleta, Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic). Obviously, we were thrilled — the hardest part was choosing what to feature. So after a ton of v. strenuous “research” (haha), Scotti and I narrowed it down to our top gift picks from each retailer.
Best Gifts for The Whole Family
(From One of Our Fav Brand Families)
And?
We’re pretty excited with the results. There ended up being a couple of truly stand-out pieces that Scotti and I (both!) have been wearing on repeat.
Athleta: Best Gifts For Your Best Friend (And/Or Sister)
Athleta is on fire right now. We loved…everything? And I can’t imagine a more fun gift than a whole new set of workout gear (cute enough to double as streetwear). The jacket I’m wearing is reversible (but I don’t know why you’d ever not show the furry texture) AND sustainably made. Scotti and I were both obsessed with Athleta’s velvet set — glam and comfy.
ps. Scotti’s velvet leggings are a little low in stock…you might also try these velvet joggers. Literally the softest things I’ve EVER worn, made from recycled poly, and look great with the hoodie. Packing them as loungewear for our holiday break.

Gap: Best Gifts for New Moms
Gap is killing it with the family pajamas right now. I especially love that there’s a whole page dedicated to coordinated family PJs. Which means you can let everyone pick, and still end up with realllly cute family photo opportunities. We went a little off-script (Greenlea was pretty firm on her pair), but everyone ended up with the cutest, coziest sets for cuddles at home. (You’ll have to watch the video to see baby Oz’s PJs. By the time we got to taking pics…naptime.)

Banana Republic: Our Favorite Gift for Her…
Um. These midi-length, faux-fur coats are easily our VERY top pick from Banana Republic. They’re warm, they’re glam, and they have a slight ’70s vibe that I WILL NEVER BE OVER. Scotti and I both have been wearing the heck out of this thing. (In the video, we’re joking about showing up in matching coats…but the joke’s on us because that has actually been happening.)

Banana Republic: Our Favorite Gift for Men…
This was a tough one to narrow down because Banana Republic has so many good basics for the guys. If your guy needs a wool winter coat, for example, we highly recommend this one or this one. But a cute glove-and-scarf “set” (aka one you put together) is always a great gift. There’s a ton of good ones to choose from.

Old Navy: Best Gifts for Grandparents (AKA…Cute Photo of the Kids)
Old Navy is a longtime favorite of ours for kids’ clothes. I love that their “dressy” clothes have juuust enough polish to look really cute on, yet they’re still comfy enough for the kids to happily wear. The boys’ “sweaters”, for example, are actually sweatshirts, and Greenlea was totally happy in her fuzzy little sherpa coat. Old Navy is our go-to for quickly getting some coordinated “fancy” clothes together for the grandparent photo (even when this year’s Grandparent photo is missing Baby Oz because…meltdown). He’ll get his own photoshoot.
