Most of us don’t have to dress up a ton these days during the holiday season, so one fun piece paired with your favorite jeans is an easy look, but one that still says, “I’m here for the festivities”. Find something a bit sparkly or a bit “MORE” than normal, and you’ll feel fun, festive and ready for the party.

Statement Jackets Do the Trick

I saw this killer blazer, and that was it. I knew I needed it for all my holiday fun. And if you know me, you know I’ll throw it on with a graphic tee for a night out in the spring, too. Not afraid of a little statement jacket over here.

But how perfect is this blingy-yet-wearable blazer for the holidays? It’s lightweight and easily styled, too. I was surprised at how comfy it is, yet how luxe and great the fabric looks. Win. This little polka dot blouse is meant to be its companion, and on this seriously sunny day in Portland (rare this time of year) it wound up being all I want in a party jacket.

Per usual, I paired it with ripped jeans and pretty-but-walkable heels, then added a few cozy pieces to warm it up as the sun sets. The giant scarf is mad cozy, y’all, and the coat is good. Think chic and warm and wearable over fun jackets. Perfect.

Coat// Kendall + Kylie Drop Shoulder Wool Coat (s) – This coat is so good. I love an overcoat that seriously goes over anything, but is still chic and on trend. It’s cozy, well-made and lovely. If you need a good black coat, this is it.

Blazer// Bar III One Button Metallic Blazer (s) – I love this! It’s shiny, but lightweight enough to layer, and a killer statement piece, right?

Blouse// Bar III Dot Print Tie-Neck Top (s) – This is just so fun and perfect with the blazer. It’s a cute top for holiday, but easily wearable most of the year for a fun bit of bling any time.

Jeans// Kendall + Kylie Ripped Crop Jeans (27) – These are great. A cool chewed hem on the ankle and comfy. True to size, a good blue wash and a cute cropped fit….at an excellent price point.

Heels// Sam Edelman Patti Sandal – One of our team favorites, for a walkable, feminine heel that goes with everything.

Scarf// DKNY Pop-Neon Speckled Scarf – Giant, cozy and amazing. Makes a statement, but is easily wearable.

Bag// Fossil Logan Leather Zip Clutch – A fun metallic piece to add a little shine to any look. Easy to throw in your bigger purse as a wallet for everyday. Love this.
