I’m trying to break out of my yearly black-tee-black-jeans wintertime rut. A bright graphic tee helps….but a bright graphic tee when paired with fun embroidered jeans really, really helps. And for some reason, I find embroidered jeans both easier to style and more timeless than brightly colored jeans.
Outfit Details
tee: J.Crew – J.Crew makes the best graphic tees. I end up keeping mine for years. Annoyingly, mine sold out, but I’m loving this cheery one.
jeans: Dex Painted Jeans c/o Shop Social Threads – I’m wearing a size 25, but I think they run a bit small. Under $100, so an easy way to test out the trend.
shoes: Splendid Mason Sandal – my minimalist-loving-heart is obsessed with these sandals.
A Few More Combos, Just For Fun…..
Outfit 1: Tee | Jeans – love the slightly nerdy vibe of this striped shirt.
Outfit 2: Tee | Jeans – Keeper of Snacks is a hysterical mom tee (and I’m LOVING the embroidery on these jeans)
Outfit 3: Tee | Jeans – these Abercrombie boyfriend jeans are on crazy sale, and would be so easy all summer.
Outfit 4: Tee | Jeans – band tees forever
Outfit 5: Tee | Jeans – these BlankNYC jeans would also be cute with a white eyelet top and heels on date night.
Hope you guys are also enjoying some warm weather…

I purchased that J.Crew tee — wore it once — and looked down to see development of tons of tiny holes!! Any idea what causes this? Or just quality of fabric? Super bummed – yellow is my favorite color!
It’s the rubbing of the thin fabric on the button. If you do a half tuck always in front you won’t have this issue but if you wer then untucked with jeans for even 30 minutes guaranteed hole.
These jeans started peeling the first time wearing them. Super poor quality!
