Sometimes I just want to wear a cute sweater and jeans. Especially when it’s cold. So for all of those casual-ish, festive events that are so prevalent this time of year, my easy outfit formula is this: festive sweater + leopard print boots.
It’s one part mixed prints and one part Peg Bundy….but the combo is very unserious, which is one of the reasons I think it works so well. I like to add red lipstick because, at this point, WHY NOT, but I know some of you are asking, “Why Leopard?”
It’s the black. The black in the leopard ties into the colors in the festive sweater nicely, without overwhelming it. It’s why leopard also pairs well with stripes.
Holiday Outfit Idea: Festive Sweater + Leopard Print Boots
sweater: J.Crew (XS) – this sweater reminds me of (a colorful version) of the sweater I brought home from Iceland. It comes in three different colors, and I like every one. It’s wool, but not scratchy. (At the moment, it’s 50% off, but I’m not sure how long that sale will last!!)
jeans: AG Farrahs – these are my favorite jeans right now. Exactly like my AG legging jeans, but with a higher rise. They’re still soft, stretchy, and super comfy.
boots: sold out, but here’s a similar pair from Halogen
