I know some people who can’t get enough animal print at home. They are willing to go absolutely wild with it!

Most people I know, would like to be that person. They love it when they see layers of animal prints in gorgeous rooms in magazines, but personally, they just aren’t willing to go all the way there; they are just looking for a little bit of roar in their lives. Throw pillows are a great way to get there.

“Wild” Neutral Decor: Animal Print Throw Pillows

Throw pillows are a perfectly safe punch of something a little more interesting, fun and sexy. In my estimation, animal prints are a neutral, but more notably the most interesting neutral. They layer really well with velvets and linens and help bring all the other neutrals together. They are a fun, safe step into letting your inner wild child out, just a bit. Here are 20 of our favorite animal print throw pillows right now.

Fun With Faux Fur

They are cozy, warm, soft, fuzzy and gorgeous. Sometimes a little texture in the form of faux fur is just the right accent or mid layer. Looks beautiful, but is also great to cuddle on!

Antelope, Leopard, Cheetah & Zebra, Oh My!

When my youngest, Grace, was a littler than she is now, she would dress herself in not-so-coordinated striped leggings, a striped skirt, a striped shirt and a striped cardigan, and then simply explain, “I Gracie. I Zebra.” While those were never outfits I would have necessarily chosen for her, she wore them well and always looked amazing. Grace, is that person who isn’t afraid to layer all the beautiful animals right on top of one another, fearlessly and beautifully. She’s my own inner spirit animal and an inspiration to just choose amazing fabrics, in fantastic prints, layer the heck out of them, and love every minute of it!

    • Rachel: It’s from House of Hackney. They are specialists in “fine”. That sounds like a whole lotta bs…but here’s the truth: it’s the fabric, the sourcing, and the construction. House of Hackney has an Eco Manifesto. I’ll paste a link to it below, it’s worth a read and helps to “justify” why their products aren’t inexpensive. All of the products used, and processes are considered and produced in small batch. Their pieces are meant to be forever, and special, not bought in fast fashion bulk, and are created with all the people and materials and mother earth in mind, and well, yes…that’s often an expensive proposition. I love that one too. xoxo A
