When a leggings-hater and a leggings-expert (ha!) are challenged to dress up faux-leather leggings for the holidays….this is what happens.   Perfect for when you don’t want to trade cute for comfort (and of course turtlenecks are featured).

First, Our Favorite Pair of Faux-Leather Leggings

Scotti and I (independently) searched for our favorite pair of faux-leather leggings….and both arrived at the same conclusion:  this pair, from SPANX.

The link above is to the SPANX leggings at Nordstrom, but if they don’t have your size in stock, below we’ve linked to Macy’s, or try Amazon, here (prime shipping!!).

(Sidenote:  avoid Spanx’s moto-inspired faux-leather leggings – they’re insanely tight and uncomfortable.)

  1. Thank you for this video!! I ALWAYS have struggled with leggings and pairing them with the right top! Shana you articulated my problem exactly – I cannot seem to get the proportion right! I am 5’10 though so it seems to be an issue maybe regardless of height. I love all the information in the video and think it is a great way to learn — thanks again!

  2. Quick question about the Spanx faux leather leggings…do yours roll down at the waist? I’m really happy with how I look in them, but the rolling waist is making me nuts. Do I need a different size? I’m going a little crazy with them!!!
