Silver boots for spring you say? YES I say. I was enamored with these silver boots from first glance and have since realized they may just sneak their way in as a new neutral ankle boot. Are silver boots the new taupe bootie? Maybe! Move over leopard print? Well, we’ll see, but they’re SO fun and a good alternative to the oh-so-on-trend white boots I love on others but just can’t get to work for me.
You know I love a good challenge (how fun have the style challenges on @themomedit IG been right?!) so off to style these shiny babes for spring I went.
Look One: Denim on Denim With Silver Boots
I wouldn’t consider myself typically ‘glam’ but silver boots are pretty glam. The way I’ve made them work for my style is to pair them with my favorite…denim. And what’s better than one denim? ALL denim. These boots work great with lighter wash jeans for spring. And while I don’t typically cuff my jeans anymore I love how these look cuffed with the lighter boot. Since the interior of the jean is the lighter denim color it flows nicely. If your jeans are a lighter wash overall you’d get the same effect without cuffing.
I wanted a jean jacket upgrade this year and this boyfriend style light-wash find is my new favorite. The denim on denim with a preppy button down just makes the glam silver boot more unexpected and in my book that is the ultimate goal…to keep things interesting!

Madison Kane Denim Jacket – My new favorite jacket for spring. It’s a little oversized for that updated fit, but not too much to be overwhelming. Wearing a Small.
Button Down – Mine is older Madewell, but I’m liking this tunic length button down as a replacement.
Levi’s 501 Skinny Jeans in Old Hangouts – This was the pair I settled on in my spring vintage wash jean search and I LOVE them. Yes, they take some breaking in, but the wash, the wash is perfection. I’m wearing my regular size 27 and they were tight to start with but are breaking in nicely with each wear. If you size up, be aware they will stretch out and have a bit more boyfriend style fit (according to Cams!)
The Fix Kenzee Kitten Heel Silver Boots – These are the bomb. They have a low heel that still looks cute and dressy but doesn’t hurt, they have a chic pointy toe and of course they have SHINE. Fabulous shimmer. They really are a surprisingly fun update in my closet. TTS.
Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack – My favorite spring bag. Looks great with lighter colors and holds all the things.
Look Two: Graphic Tee, Moto Jacket & Silver Boots
For the second look, I’d typically throw on my Chuck Taylor’s or taupe booties for everyday, but these silver boots just take the outfit up a level. I’d wear this out shopping or art-show hopping with friends or to a fun weekend event in the city. I’m dying over this star print backpack that we know easily doubles as a diaper bag or day bag to hold purchases or layers as the day warms up. I’d swap out the backpack for a fun clutch and wear this out at night to hear live music. Casual jeans and tee, cool jacket and boots. The outfit I was made for.

AllSaints Bales Leather Jacket – Soft, cool and amazing. It stretches just every so slightly with wear to a perfect fit. Wearing size US 6.
The Future Is Female Graphic Tee – There have been many knock offs but this is the original shop that started the trend!
The Fix Kenzee Kitten Heel Silver Boots – So fun and shiny and love the heel height. TTS.
Sol & Selene Star Print Backpack – LOVE this but it’s selling out quickly. You can also find it here. Here’s a cute mini star print backpack and here, too.

The bonus here? These boots will be amazing come fall and winter. And for the holidays? No-brainers. I wanna try them out with both white and black jeans (of course) so stay tuned! Until then…

Very cute. I’ve got a silver pair of cole haan oxfords (for those whose feet can’t handle a pointy boot-like me) that I always get compliments on similar to these:

I bought the Nordstrom version at Thanksgiving … and wussed out and returned them. ? Love them with the light wash denim- genius!
I love your style! I would never have thought of silver boots being doable, but you totally make them work!
Oooh, I like the way you worked these boots in. I like them much more than the white booties, which would only end up gross and tinged with orange because of the red clay in Atlanta. I think these might be my next purchase. I still love the leopard booties but these feel a bit more fresh for spring.
Thanks! YES I’ll always love the leopard but these are a nice update!
In a word…LOVE!!
Thanks!!
So so good!!! Love this! I can’t bring myself to like the white boots that are everywhere these days, but I totally think I could get into silver boots. Both outfits look great! Well done!!!
PS…I almost don’t recognize you without your glasses!!! ?
Great looks! As a bonus, the silver really accentuates that cool haircut/color.
On a side note, I found the first 4 pics in the graphic-tee section confusing, since your lower body is missing from what’s ostensibly a “shoe” post. 🙂
Thanks! But yes, I think the photos were out of order on that look. Updated! Thank you!
LOVE this! Much more wearable white booties.
I got these from ASOS – for $43 – a few weeks ago :
http://us.asos.com/asos/asos-emberly-wide-fit-pointed-ankle-boots/prd/8385116?clr=silver&SearchQuery=&cid=27416&gridcolumn=4&gridrow=3&gridsize=4&pge=1&pgesize=72&totalstyles=14
and they have become my new neutral. I get compliments all the time. And agree with everyone else…much better than the white booties. I love mine with cropped flares! Fun, fun!
So cute!! Thanks for sharing!
You are so on point here! I love this silver as a new neutral for Spring! I can’t get on board the white boot trend, so this is a nice option in a similar vein. Looks great! And lots of other good options in case you want something flatter and less pointy toed too! Love your style as always!
i got the star backpack! A lot of traveling coming up and I think it’ll be perfect. Also where did you get that long jean skirt fro that was on your insta stories?
