Jen7: You Need these Jeans

I am constantly on the search for jeans that actually fit and are flattering.  So many times I’ll leave the house with a pair that I think fit and find myself pulling them up again and again over the muffin top they’ve created as they’ve slid down.  Awesome.  So when Jen7 reached out, asking me to try their jeans that are created for curvier girls, I said “right here!”

Jen7 is a collection from 7 For All Mankind that targets women who are focused more on fit than trendy styles.  They’ve kept the “top block” (the section from the top of the thigh to the top of the waistband) consistent throughout their styles with a higher rise that doesn’t gap at the waistband and has a bit more room in the hips.  I tried on three different styles (loved them all, actually) and was surprised by how well they each fit.  Normally I have to try on multiple sizes for each style (even within the same brand), but these remained comfortable and consistent.  There was no gap at the waist and I wasn’t wrenching them up every 5 minutes. #win
Close-ups of my butt courtesy of my husband.  He’s also the one who cut off and perfectly frayed the bottom of these jeans for me.  I’m 5’4″ so the original length on these were a bit too long.  He used trauma shears to cut them and a wire brush to fray them.   jeans for curvy girls jeans for curvy girls

Wearing:

Jen7 Stretch Slim Straight Leg Jeans: True to size (I tried three different styles of Jen7 jeans on and was a consistent size 6), soft and comfy.

Sweater (similar) here and a lighter weight shirt (perfect for layering without bulk) here.

Jeffrey Campbell Siren Bootie: This sock bootie is available in a ton of colors and some really cool patterns, but I loved the black neoprene for our snowy winters.  Easy to clean and surprisingly comfortable.

Rebecca Minkoff Leo Clutch: Also available in a ton of colors, this is the perfect clutch to hold all your essentials and add a little glam.

Faux Fur Stole: similar and on sale for under $30!

Faux Leather Jacket: similar and on sale for $60!

Earrings: Also in black and on sale for under $30

A huge thank-you to Jen7 for sponsoring this post!  I’m always happy to find jeans that really do fit and are flattering. As always, all thoughts, opinions, and product choices are our own. And a big thank you to The Marq  for letting us take these pics and for always having the best fancy drinks (did you see that whole star anise? #fancy). And readers, thank you for your continued support.  It doesn’t go unnoticed, and is so very much appreciated.

  1. Ooooooh!, price point is pretty close to my super fave Madewell! I might need to GIFT a pair to myself. Quick question, I really like your super fuzzy gloves, can you share the deets?
