I am not currently nursing, but I have…three times, to be exact (and by that, I mean I’ve nursed three babies, not that I nursed a total of three times. I’ve nursed at least 1,256 times if we want to get really exact). So, yeah. I’d like to say that it makes me an expert on all things breastfeeding — from how to get the wee babe to latch, to what accouterment you may need to position said babe and well, how to not die within that first week of having a baby attached to your boob 24/7. Lo, I am not a professional, but I am well aware that breastfeeding is a very, very personal experience that comes with its own set of challenges for each and every mama-baby duo.
11 Nursing Bras You Must Know About
I think what I can claim, however, is that I know how to pick out a legit nursing bra. I have worn so many…some total shit, some okay and then those WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN SILVER nursing bras.
Recently, I made it my aim to peruse the www. to find an array of choices for any of you that may be in need. I looked for best sellers, read the reviews, considered the look (because that’s important, too!) and here are the good ones I found…
A jersey soft bra with lined cups. This one doesn’t technically say its a nursing bra, but it did come up when I was searching for one…hm. I assume it’s because the front can be pulled to the side easily…and others have used it as a nursing bra!
A pullover bra with supportive stretch, so there aren’t any annoying clasps or wires. I’d wear this A LOT if I was nursing, especially around the house.
Soft padded cups that don’t show underneath clothes, and it has easy clasps in the front for getting that babe on the boob.
This one is sexy…for a nursing bra! Is that even possible? I guess it is! This one is so pretty and romantic, all while being full-coverage and allows you to unclasp with one hand.
This one is sporty and reminds me of the Calvin Klein bras…which is cool (by the way, haha). Apparently, its super soft and can easily be worn all day long.
This Natori nursing bra is a customer favorite, with its cotton lining and comfort fit. It says it has been updated with easy nursing clips now, (so, maybe they were difficult nursing clips before?). Anyway, it looks like a real winner for nursing mamas.
Seamless and comfortable. This is another one of those that could be worn all day.
Ultrasoft fabric, full coverage, wire-free support. Another incredibly comfortable option! ps. I can’t find the grey available anywhere anymore, but it does come in the black (below) and nude.
A bit of delicate lace, foam cups, flexible underwires and the best part…convertible straps. That’s a cool feature in a nursing bra.
This one has lace trim that apparantely disappears beneath your clothes. It also has lightweight spacer-foam cups and quick-release clasps that making nursing simple. Sounds fantastic!
I have been a fan of H&M nursing bras since early motherhood, with my oldest babe. They are affordable, and, from my own experience, comfortable. Also, they helped me to feel less frumpy, because…I don’t know…H&M is hip and cool, and I wanted to still be a hip and cool mom, so. haha. Really though! If you’re looking for affordable nursing bras these are a good way to go. Find more H&M nursing bras here.
I hope that was helpful to all of you beautiful mamas out there.
