…and by cool, I mean temps! This summer has been gorgeously pleasantly cool here in Portland. All the kids with no AC say YAY!!! I’ve been wearing jeans on the reg for most of the last month and I LOVE IT. And I found THE best tank ever. And I got a new tattoo. Yup.

Here’s what I’ve been into in the outfit department lately…

My Favorite: All Black (and the best tank ever!)

Yes, tattoo tattoo, but first things first. If you follow me on Instagram (@elletrain) you’ve already seen it!
BUT, this Free People swing tank…so good. I bought it in 2 colors. I’m adoring the flattering racerback cut so much. I got them in medium since that’s what they had at my store. Small would have been a closer fit under the arms, just FYI, if that’s more your thing. I’m liking how the pretty Galloon Lace Bralette just barely shows around the edges of this size on me though.

This is the day my friend Brenda and I got to check out the Betsy & Iya garage sale and get some amazing earrings and Sienna had a total meltdown when we left and Brenda and I were bribing her left and right and it finally worked with promising a drive-thru treat! Parenthood!

Ok, here’s the new ink. Sometimes you just have to do something like this. It’s an adapted quote from the philosopher Seneca and it will be a great reminder everyday. I thought an appropriate spot was on my bicep. #girlpower

Visiting a Farm In the Heart of Seattle

Yeah, I know! It was a cool place. It’s actually in the heart of Bellevue and is called Kelsey Creek Farm. SO lovely with beautiful grounds, a gorgeous garden and sweet animals to see. I wore one of my new favorite combos: a flowy dress and hi top Chucks. I wore this twice within 3 days because it’s SO cool and comfy.

Dress– old Free People (wow, I really am on a kick here), but this chambray hi low dress is SO awesome. I think if you’re gonna pair hi tops with a long dress, a hi-low hemline works best for us shorties. OR on non-shorties omg, this tie dyed dress!!

Jacket – Old Gap, but this one is very similar.

This, I wore on a Thursday. It worked though! Friday came the next day! Whew. Also, went a little ash blonde silvery Targaryen with the hair color this time around and I’m digging.

Saturday Out-and-About and Adorable Toddler Shoes

Saturday we headed to the St. Johns Farmer’s Market and perused around the lovely little neighborhood just down the way from us. We found a super cool little shop called Therapy and finally had lunch at Brass Tacks St. Johns (delish!) Sienna sported her new red floral clog boots that I could not resist at Target. Omg. Love.

Sienna’s clog boots – Target Genuine Kids Penina Floral Clog Boots – I mean, you wouldn’t be able to resist either, right? All the heart eyes. I thought she’d have trouble walking in them, but no problem. Maybe not best for running or on the playground though. I sized up 1 from her current size so she could wear this fall with socks.

So talk to me in late August and I probably won’t have been sporting the jeans this much, but for now love love love. #ilovethepacificnorthwest
