Reader Question:
I've been seeing what I'll call "comfort wedges" (ones that actually have flex in the sole) around these days and they seem like a great solution for my pregnant, office-dwelling self. To be honest, my beloved pumps completely died right when I got knocked up and I haven't found a comfortable affordable replacement, so I've been in flats for the last five months. I'd love to see some super comfortable office-friendly recommendations under $100.

Answer:
Melissa – great question. I totally remember those days. Here's what I found, along with a few styling thoughts on each (and half of these picks are under $100):
1. DVF Low Wedge Pointy-toe Snakeskin Pump, $298
Drop-dead stunning. Pretend these are neutrals and wear as you would, say, a black pump. The ankle wrap is especially chic with slim, cropped pants. These are much (much!!) higher than the $100 price-point mentioned, but they are the kind of shoe you could wear anywhere…forever.
2. Belle By Sigerson Morrison Wallace Suede, $225
My general rule of thumb is that if the toes aren't showing, it's OK for the office. This shoe would look amazing with pencil skirts, or – my fav – slightly rumpled khakis, rolled to show off the shoe. Add a silk blouse.
3. Dansko Thea in brown veg, $130
I will always love a great clog. I'd wear this to the office with a tight denim pencil skirt and bow blouse. Can't wear denim? Swap it out for a leather (or faux-leather) skirt. The clogginess balances out the hardcoreness of the faux-leather. #madwritingskills
4. Adam Tucker Ritz Pump, $99
Love the snake print and the wood-covered heel. Treat these like a neutral and watch how they instantly upgrade even the most boring office outfit.
5. Seychelles High Hopes, $90
The cure for the common office pump. Wear these with everything – black pants, pencil skirts, with or without tights – everything. I'd especially like to see these with black trousers and a dark-wash denim chambray shirt for work, or with destroyed denim and a white tee for weekends. Easily my favorite pair in the bunch.
6. Clarks Wedge-Pump in black snake, $110
This comfortable wedge successfully combines black, brown and blue – such an unexpected and chic pairing, yet totally office-appropriate. I'd use these to jazz up the standard office uniform of gray-pencil-skirt meets white-button-down.
7. Cole Haan Milly Wedge, $84
These come in multiple colors, but the bright blue is – by far – the best. These are begging to be paired with khaki pants and a bright belt. I'd also wear these with a black suit (add a camel belt to pull it all together).
8. Soft Style Angel in blue-green, $49
I debated over these. I don't love the shape, but the comfort factor and price point are tantalizing, and I do love a printed shoe for spring. I think if someone is looking to jazz up navy suits, khaki or olive green pants, this shoe could work.
9. Modcloth Conference to Cocktails Wedge, $35
Love the classic cap-toe of this wedge. The name really says it all, and the price can't be beat. (Sizes are running low, so also check out this low-heeled vegan pump with a postage-stamp print. Slightly crazy, but still office-friendly. I love it.)
10. DVF Park, $298
Pricey, but a seriously sexy shoe thanks to the pointed toe and curved upper. This is a shoe I'd be happy to wear to the office and date night.
11. Rockport Alkia Pump, $110
I love the contrast wood heel – it keeps these comfort wedges from going into snoozeville territory.
12. Nine West Wedges, $70
Very similar to the DVF wedges, but at a fraction of the cost.
Anyone else have a chic, comfy shoe they swear by for the office? I'd love to see what you guys are wearing….
Hope this helps, Melissa! Thanks for writing in!

I would try some Dr Scholls with the memory foam inside – I have a pair of vintage style heels from them that are my favorite comfy shoes when I have to look nice all day. Here’s a few similar styles I found on ebay:

I have the Martina wedges from jcrew in different colors( nude and black). They are comfy and very fashionable, but not under $100. I bought my black ones on promo and the nude ones on clearance for about $ 70.
I can certainly vouch for #7, the cole haan Milly wedge. LOVE. And SO comfy!
Just to clarify. I have the Dansko Thea wedge in brown from a couple of years ago. If you read the description it explains that they are vegetable-tanned leather, not vegan. Also I am a sucker for an awesome clog. Unfortunately, similar to many reviews and despite my not wide feet they are way too narrow in the instep. I even tried taking them back to Nordies to have them stretched but to no avail. I read one review about a hair dryer working though and am excited to give it another go. They are beautiful.
Cole haan air tali lace wedge is very comfortable and the dark silver metallic goes with everything. I had to go up a half size, maybe because my foot is kind of wide. http://www.zappos.com/cole-haan-air-tali-lace-wedge-dark-silver-metallic
I would check Payless as well. They have an excellent online selection and constantly have sales on their already affordable shoes. They have a couple comfort brands that I love: Dexflex, comfortplus. In fact, their whole comfort line is on sale now : http://www.payless.com/store/catalog/subsubcategory.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat200001&trail=1016:cat200001&pageSize=80&icid=sp01_hp_hq_image1
