When I get to leave the house to go out for a drink, that in and of itself is cause for celebration. I may not have any fancy parties to go to, but during the holidays I look forward to celebrating all the little things . . . and celebrating calls for fancy.
BUT. I still want be comfortable. Sequin leggings (or pants, as is the case this year) have always been my go-to because they’re comfortable but super fun and festive. So this year?
Sequin Pants + Off the Shoulder Sweater + Fancy Clutch
Wearing
Amuse Society Gold Dust Sequin Skinny Pants: I love that these come in pant sizes instead of just small medium or large . . . they were true to size and supposed to be cropped but #shortgirlproblems. They’re super comfortable and not itchy at all.
Free People Valencia Off the Shoulder Pullover: My new favorite top. It can be worn over one shoulder or off of both and comes in lots of colors. I wore it with a strapless in these pictures but have worn it over bralettes and camis as well. It’s the perfect “fancy sweatshirt.”
Nine West booties: Old, but these Sam Edelman booties are very similar and with a lower heel (and are currently 40% off!).
Nickel & Suede Earrings: Ever since you readers told me about them (thank you!), I’ve been obsessed. So lightweight I literally can’t tell I’m wearing them!
Sequin Clutch: Similar and very affordable . . . I love these sequin bags and I wear them year-round, not just during the holidays!
Shop The Look
I absolutely love the holidays. It’s even more fun now that Greenlea is old enough to get excited about EVERYTHING . . . and I mean everything. I would love ideas on how to celebrate with a toddler . . . what are some traditions you do with yours?
XOXO,
Scotti
Hi Scotti! You could try making a gingerbread house with Greenlea. My little ones LOVE it!
I found your old sequin pants post the other day and was so inspired I went on eBay and bought a pair of sequin leggings. And a sequin mini. And a sequin full skirt (the amazing ombré Lauren Conrad skirt that glitters like a Christmas ornament.) I am determined to Sparkle, damnit!
Due to your comment I totally just bought the Lauren Conrad ombre skirt off ebay!
It’s so good! The mini and the leggings I bought were a bust (too small and sparse sequins) but the Lauren Conrad skirt is *gorgeous* and perfect with a chocolate brown sweater and boots. I did turn the elastic waist under (folded inside so it doesn’t show) which makes for a more flattering fit on my waist. Enjoy!!
Three cheers for Scotti! And sparkle! Way to go, glam girl!
Now I have to go buy something sequined.
My toddler absolutely loves our nativity set. I set it up underneath the tree and he plays with it every day. It keeps him from taking all of the ornaments off and hiding them.
OOh, this is right up my alley. I WILL have a sparkly NYE, even if I’m “sipping” champagne on my couch. after the kids are in bed. Also, I LOVE the UP artwork.
If you’re on the petite side and willing to shop in the children’s department, I found an amazing pair of silver sequined leggings at Target for $20! The XL fits like a 0/2 I think:)
wonder about these on curvy gals?
I love that you always have accessories on and linked. Really helps the accessory challenged like me!
