I know I’ve covered the fact that during the cooler months I’m just not really a dress person…but come summer, my sun-goddess-wannabe side emerges, and I only want to float around in breezy outfits, (you may remember from my recent caftan post and the cute Amazon dress post.) With the state of the world as it is right now, a floaty dress has a way of providing me with a brief respite.

And because this dress is so good…maybe I need it in every color.

Free People Adella Slip Dress: This Summer’s Most Gorgeous Maxi

You’ve seen this dress around here before. Cam and Scotti both also have it, and once I got mine in a month (or so) ago, I realized why we all love it. It’s the softest, loveliest, lightweight fabric. Softest. Lightest. Breeziest. Just picture the ‘ahhhh’ emoji with the peaceful look on its face and that’s me in this dress. And not to mention — the top of the dress is styled after one of FP’s most-popular bralettes. Therefore, no need to wear a bra (if you feel comfortable going without) because the top is actually a bra! I realize this may not work for all bust types, so a lacey bra or one with pretty straps in a contrasting color would look great, too! I’ve also seen this dress styled with a fitted t-shirt or tank underneath and that looks super cute!
