Friends. Whew! I am stoked for the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!! I adore the preview route they’re going with this year. Freaking phenomenal. During NSale time, I typically look for plaid blazers, great jeans, cool sneakers (those P448 zebra sneaks are MADE for me), rad boots (combat-style these days, please!) and cozy sweaters. There are usually some fabulous coats and moto jackets thrown into the sale, too, and I’m so down for those.
This year specifically, I’m excited about this puff-sleve midi dress in a really gorgeous print (I’d top it with the moto jacket, obvs), this awesome matching loungewear set from UGG, and a super-wearable camo bomber jacket that reverses to navy. I mean. Gah. Two jackets in one? OK!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Preview: Laura’s Wish List
Other than that, I was so glad to see some pieces from a few of our favorite sustainable brands, like Levi’s, Adidas and Veja included in the Nordstrom Sale Preview, too. I tried to make this post as helpful as possible, so you might want to bookmark it and refer back to it as the sale goes live. You can also save items from this post into your Wish List in your Nordstrom account. After a few years of tackling the NSale, I’ve found I tend to look for similar things, so I hope this proves helpful for you, too!
Have I told you what a fan of fall I am? Omg, it’s definitely my season. Moto jackets, leather everything, boots, JEANS, plaid pieces, sweaters, blazers — these are really why I love fashion. This forever-fan of London style lives for fall, and it makes my heart skip a beat to think of how I’ll style up some of these fun outfit pieces. 01/ BBDakota Plaid Boyfriend Blazer: The colors in this! SO good. Fresh and fun, but not costumey or over-the-top. Love it styled just like this.
02/ Julia Jordan Floral Puff Sleeve Midi Dress: This print is just everything. Fun, but ready for fall. Perfect with either the taupe BlankNYC moto jacket or the Halogen one below.
03/ Halogen Leather Moto Jacket: This is SO good. What a fabulous price for a leather jacket! The shape and cut look amazing, too! One of my top picks for sure — keep this in mind if you don’t have a good black leather jacket yet!
04/ Blanc Noir Reversible Camo/Navy Bomber: Ok, this is AMAZING. The camo on this cute bomber jacket is subtle AND it reverses to a gorg navy, too. Two jackets in one! AND it freaking has thumbholes. Sold.
05/ Blanc Noir Hooded Jacket With Faux Leather Sleeves: This is very rad. What a wearable jacket with athletic wear, denim, date night, etc., SO versatile. I can’t wait to try it. (Description does say it runs a little small.)
06/ Dolce Vita Zonta Mid Sneaker: Love this! It’s a great alternative to some of the higher-end sneaker brands. I love Dolce Vita and they make great shoes. This colorway is my fav, but the pair with the rose gold is also cool!
07/ Blondo Camila Waterproof Bootie: A serious favorite. Waterproof-yet-not-lacking-in-style is like the holy grail for this Portland girl!
08/ UGG Gertie Zip hoodie: I have a feeling this UGG set going to go fast. And I want it so much. I love the split hem on the hoodie. I’m not typically matching set girl until it comes to sporty loungewear, then count me in. And yes, I’d wear this out of the house with a leather moto jacket layered on top and those rad zebra high-tops just below.
09/ UGG Katner Pajama pants: It looks like a decently shorter inseam on the pants. Fingers crossed this set is as good as it looks.
10/ P448 Star Zebra High Top Sneaker: Probably my top pick! You know me and chic (not cheesy) animal print. These are just that, and from one of my very favorite sneaker brands. My most-worn sneakers are a white mid-top from P448. LOVE them. I wear a 38 in this brand and am usually a solid US 8, if that helps for sizing. I’ve found the 39 is too big.
11/ Hunter Original Waterproof Chelsea Boot: I mean, Pacific Northwest girl had to include some rad rainboots. These are so much more wearable than your typical rainboot but still keep ya feet dry!
12/ Madewell Remi Mule: I tried this in leopard last year, and it’s such a great shoe! The snake would go with everything and is a great transition shoe from summer to fall, or if you prefer a close-toed shoe for summer.
13/ Treasure & Bond Crewneck Pullover Sweater: This is a gorgeous color for fall and I love the cozy, oversized fit of this sweater. It mixes well with the snake prints, the plaids and the gray jeans I love for fall.
14/ Halogen Houndstooth Tie Waist Mock Neck Top: Cute, chic and great for work or Zoom calls. Love the tie waist.
15/ Halogen Tie Waist Houndstooth Pants: Also chic and cute for work! I’d pair with a moto jacket and kitten heel booties or prob these combat boots honestly.
A Few Favorites I Have (& Love) In The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Gibson Notch Collar Cotton Blend Blazer
One of my all-time favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases. This blazer freshens up any outfit with a crisp look, but at the same time it is so, so comfy because it’s knit. It’s perfect for travel, the office, or a last-minute grab for a work Zoom meeting. Oh, and ps. our entire team styled it up here.

Moto Jackets
This is the best time to invest in a moto jacket, whether it be faux or real leather. My top pick from Nordstrom’s preview is the gray AllSaints jacket, but this Halogen jacket from my collage picks above is amazing and such a great price! In the photos below, you’ll see the AllSaints leather jacket that I already own (left), that’s the same cut as the AllSaints Balfern jacket that’s available in this year’s sale. I wear a US 6, and it’s perfection. I love it so much. It’d be my one item to keep in my closet if I had to get rid of the rest. The photo on the right is the BLANKNYC faux suede jacket that’s part of the sale! It’s incredibly soft and lovely.

Gray Jeans
I tend to always find a great pair of light black-washed or gray jeans in the sale and wear them all fall. They’re the perfect wash with the pretty browns & oranges of the season. These Wit & Wisdom jeans are beyond comfy AND super-cute with a ton of stuff. AND they’re in the super-reasonably priced category. I first tried them on last year during the sale and find them TTS and just great overall. This year I also wanna try this rag & bone pair listed in the preview. What a freaking perfect wash.

Plaid Blazers
I was stoked to see plaid blazers back in both black and white and brown options. These have made my top Nordstrom Sale finds for the last couple of years. They’re perfect for fall and so classic in my book! So great for layering and adding a little interest to solid pieces or a little sharper vibe to graphic tees.
