Snake print, denim and rock ‘n’ roll, baby. Sometimes you just need to add something rocker-inspired into your wardrobe to spice things up. That’s exactly what my new favorite trend of the moment is all about: graphic sweatshirts. It’s the best of both worlds really — our beloved retro band tees meet comfy sweatshirts.
There’s no doubt everybody here at TME loves their graphic sweatshirts. They’re so versatile, there are sooo many different styles, and they look great with everything from midi skirts, to leather pants, to distressed Levi’s (my fav right now) and snake print booties.
Jeans + Graphic Sweatshirt + Snake Boots
Sweatshirt – AC/DC Tour Pullover by Free People, size M, TTS (meant to be oversized). This is hands down my FAVORITE graphic sweatshirt ever. I love LOVE the fit — it’s a more relaxed silhouette than the average sweatshirt. It’s got a wide neckline and an unfinished hemline, so it has a draped fit, which I think gives it more versatility. You can do a french tuck, tuck it all the way in or layer it.
Jeans – 501® Ripped High Waist Straight Leg Jeans, size 28, TTS. My latest Levi’s and by far the most comfortable of their non-stretch denim jeans! They are super-flattering and fit so well. But if you’re not a fan of the non-stretch denim, MOTHER Superior The Tomcat Ankle Fray Jeans have a nice amount of stretch in them, and Lovers + Friends Nolan Jeans make a super-similar pair that I also have, but they run LARGE, so order one size down. Also, AFRM’s Dylan Ripped High Waist Crop Jeans are less than $80 at Nordstrom, but reviews have them running small, so order one size up.
Booties – LINEA PAOLO Sienna Chelsea Boot, 8, runs small; order one size up. I love these booties, they are so comfortable and easy to move around in. I’m a big fan of pointy toe boots at the moment. I love the elastic gore inset that makes them so comfy.
