Sweaters, Cardis, Jackets & More. Our All-Time Faves At Free People Are On Sale

We allll agree that Free People does drapey, effortless sweaters like none other. Kat’s most-worn tunic is a fav year after year: lusciously oversized, and so easy to style up or down. Don’t sleep on this cashmere turtleneck, either. Super-soft, perfect for layering, and at a great price point.

Drool-worthy jackets? Yes, please. Amy’s quilted jacket is calling me with its effortlessly cool, wear-over-everything vibe. For more winter-weather protection, this packable puffer is ultra-lightweight and insulated for warmth (but without all the bulk).

And with the $100 gift code, treat yourself to some cashmere leg warmers, or this cute pom beanie!

More longtime favs + picks we’re eyeing up from Free People, below — happy shopping!

Shana’s Top Free People Picks

ONE – KD Dance ‘Veggie Cashmere’ Leg Warmers: I’ve been wearing KD dance leg warmers for years. They’re a dancewear company, so the leg warmers actually stay up a bit better than most. This is my go-to trick for rocking little loungey short-shorts in the winter. They’re super cozy to wear to bed, (more comfortable than pajama pants, and easy to kick off).

TWO – Paris Sweatshirt: Free People always has a really solid selection of loungewear. I love this understated gray sweatshirt from Retro Brand. Frankly, I’ll probably wear it most around the house with the leg warmers and slippers. (Or — oh help — these slipper boots. Whoa.)

ONE – Quilted Dolman Jacket: I’ve had this baby for years, and it only gets better. It’s oversized, but I’m still wearing my regular medium. I paired it with one of my fave light cashmere sweaters that’s perfect for layering!

TWO – Swim Too Deep Cardi: A cardigan with a unique shape and gorgeous color options (plus the buttons are perfection). Both outfits paired with these boots that are a splurge (but a worthy one) and the cutest suede sling bag.

Laura’s Top Free People Picks

ONE All Star Pull-on Jeans: I picked these pull-on cargo jeans up on a whim in-store back in October. I have worn them so much since! FP pants are always hit or miss for me, but these are so great. They add variety to my closet besides just jeans. I love them cuffed to balance out the volume at the legs. They’re so rad and comfy. TTS. Wearing a S.

TWO – Poppy Cashmere Turtleneck: Well, this was a sleeper find! I have a boyfriend cardigan in cashmere from FP. I got it last year, and it’s some of the nicest feeling cashmere I’ve had, and at such a nice price point too. Grabbing this next!

Scotti’s Top Free People Picks

ONE – Moira Slouchy Tunic: This type of lusciously oversized sweater was what made me fall in love with Free People in the first place. Layered over one of their bralettes, worn off the shoulder or on, I absolutely LOVE these sweaters. (I’ve been wearing them for a long time now! 😳)

TWO – Skyline Midi Skirt: I LOVE this midi skirt SO much! It’s so comfortable, and one of the only skirts I feel confident wearing in a lighter color. (I also styled it with a tunic!)

Meredith’s Top Free People Picks

ONE – Gather Tee: Y’all, I wrote an entire post waxing poetically about the versatility and style of this turtleneck tee. (TTS, Large).

TWO – Claudia Velvet Tee: The perfect top for winter parties. Available in four colors. (TTS, Large).

Kat’s Top Free People Picks

ONE – Easy Street Tunic: This is by far my most-worn sweater ever! I own it in several colors, and you all have seen me wear it in many of my TME posts… I even dedicated an entire post to this sweater, because it truly is amazing! It’s oversized, cozy, and so easy to style in a bunch of different ways.

TWO – Pippa Packable Puffer: Free People is truly one of the brands that I find myself so surprised by, especially since they are not an inclusive sizing brand. However, every time I visit their store, I discover that their clothes just fit me so well, which was true when I found the Pippa packable puffer last year. It was, and still is, my most-worn winter coat too! You can read more about me waxing poetic for my love of this coat, here!

Em’s Top Free People Picks

ONE – Skyline Midi Skirt: I agree with Scotti on this one. This has been a closet staple for almost three years. It’s comfortable, super easy to dress up, or down (shockingly, I dress is down more often), and is available in loads of colors. The not-too-thick knit makes it easy to style with sneakers or sandals for summer, but it can stand up to tights and boots in the winter, too. The price point is great! TTS. (Also wearing the Adella Bralette in this pic — it’s easily my favorite bralette; I have it in a handful of colors. Wearing a S.)

TWO – Marlie Pullover: I just snagged this after wanting a collared, split-neck sweater that didn’t feel too preppy. The weight and quality is great, and it’s easy to style up kinda slouchy and cool with a turtleneck underneath. It can be a little more “low-key seductive,” (ha) with more exposed skin. I’m between an XS-S, and sized up to a S so I would get a little more room, but if I weren’t pregnant, the XS would have been roomy enough.
