If you know me well, then you likely know that I am obsessed with all things London.

Half the time you can find me talking in a British accent. I have a deep passion for all the royal gossip, and all of my favorite style icons are from — you guessed it — London. Not to mention that I had the most epic NYE in London when I was a wee senior in high school, but that’s a story for another day.

So that’s why, when I started pulling together this year’s collection of my favorite plus-size pieces from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I immediately got the urge to hop across the pond and move to London.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 Capsule Wardrobe: London Looks For Plus-Size Babes

Not only is this year’s plus-size selection seriously stellar, it’s the first time that Nordstrom truly gave plus-size babes incredible variety in styles, colors and aesthetics. This is the first year that I am seeing styles of jeans other than the typical skinny jeans, and there is so much more vibrancy in the colors and hues offered. Not to mention, the overall design quality of these pieces is such an improvement from years past.

I am in LOVE with the plus-size selection from Nordstrom right now from, and if all goes well with the actual try-on, you may find me moving to London by fall.

When I think of London I think of sophistication, effortlessly elegant outfits, and basics that can be easily mixed and matched. All of the everyday London looks I’ve seen over the years don’t feel overly fancy, but they do feel chic and timeless.

If you ask me, every London girl needs a vibrant trench to wear on gloomier days, and this gorgeous green Halogen trench coat has me seriously swooning and dreaming of walking down the cobblestone streets of Piccadilly. And these ultra-structured cropped faux-leather pants by BlankNYC are what I will be wearing on a trip to the grocery store as well as a posh night out with my London babes.

Outfit Idea 1: An Outfit For Doing The Weekly Food Shop
(AKA What I’d Wear To The Grocery Store)

Everything feels more posh in London: The selection of words are sexier, and the outfits give that effortless, city-chic aesthetic.

I love a good grocery-store — or as the Brits would call it, “food shop” — look, and this outfit is what feels the most like me: It’s a sexier take on an errands look. While the BlankNYC structured faux-leather crop pants are perfect for a night out, they are easy to dress down too. I paired them with this gorgeous Avec Les Filles long puffer vest and a fun neutral pair of sneakers

Outfit Idea 2: What I Would Wear On A Date In London…#SingleAsAPringle

It’s no secret that I am #SingleAsAPringle, and I’m sure that if and when I find myself in London, I will be going on several dates. When it comes to dating, I tend to wear the same uniform on every first date. It makes it so much easier to have a look you feel comfortable and confident in and takes some of the stress out of deciding what to wear.

My London date-night look is all about this stunning BlankNYC Asymmetric Zip Suede Skirt and a subtly sexy, black long-sleeve top. And just in case I get a chill, I’d throw a knit cardigan into this oversize Proenza Schouler White Label tote

Outfit Idea 3: Is She A Tourist Or A Local? An Outfit For Sightseeing

As I mentioned earlier, I spent an incredible holiday in London back in 2009. I was a senior in high school trapesing around London with my bestie, and we did all the touristy things. We visited Buckingham Palace, took a ride on the London Eye, ate fish & chips and so much curry. Since I am no newbie to London, I’d like for my look to evoke that of a local. I am so in love with the cozy cropped sweater in this beautiful hue of blue, and the exaggerated whipstitched detailing gives an effortlessly elevated vibe.

Oh, and if you’re curious what shapewear I wear underneath my skirts…it’s almost always Spanx

Outfit Idea 4: What I Would Wear To Meet My Favorite Iconic London Influencer

I have been fangirling over my favorite influencer of all time, Callie Thorpe, for years! She’s such an icon, one of the sweetest humans I’ve ever encountered over the internet, and she has the best style!

If I ever have the chance to meet her IRL, I would wear an outfit that feels trendy but doesn’t look like I am trying too hard… I’ve gotta play it cool, ya know?! The base of my celeb-sighting look is made up of great basics for your closet. What makes this outfit feel so cool are these sensible-yet-hella-cute Kork-Ease platform sandals and this ultra-oversize bag that could fit everything and the kitchen sink.

Outfit Idea 5: My Everyday London Look

No capsule wardrobe of mine would be complete without an everyday athleisure look. Most days you will find me in comfort wear, and the same would be true if my life were in London. I love these Good American flare scuba pants that are stretchy like a yoga pant but can also be styled for a work look.
