Heyyyy, sunny weather. We’ve been basking in it here in Portland and it’s giving me all the good vibes. It’s that time of year: I crave easy, fresh outfits that are comfy (duh) but not the same things I’ve been living in all winter. (Bye for now, sweatpants.)
These Linen Track Pants Are Clutch For An Outfit Update
These ah-mazing linen track pants I recently found at Nordstrom are my newest favs. And by favs I mean, I will be living in them. Not only are they seasonally appropriate comfy linen, but they come in petite lengths, too, so that adorable sporty track pants hem actually works on this 5’4″ gal! Yay!
Move over sweats…here comes something cuter!
I have been fully embracing my sporty side lately, if you haven’t noticed. I’m always a fan of sneakers, but while I adore my jeans, after this year of sweats I am wanting to continue that vibe ‘but make it spring’ and maaaybe a bit less ‘I might have slept in these.’ These linen pants are clutch for this update.

So, what’s so great about these pants? First of all, they’re 100% linen. Light enough for warmer temps, comfy for many temps. AND machine washable (I lay flat to dry.) Secondly, they come in petite, regular and plus sizes. Yes, please and thank you. Thirdly, look at that adorable scalloped/track-style hem. SO cute and I can never find pants short enough for me to rock a cool hem like this. The fourth reason? They’re only $59! And fifth? They come in some great neutral shades…gray, white, black and olive in standard sizing, and gray and olive in plus sizes. Definitely snagging the olive for my closet now!

Fit Notes: I found the pants to run true-to-size and am wearing a Petite Medium here. I’m 5’4″ and 27/28 in jeans. I’m usually a Small in regular sizing, but size up to a Medium in most petite pieces. These are a little loose on me, but the drawstring makes them adjustable and super comfy. I tend to want linen pants to fit a bit looser anyway since they don’t have stretch. The Petite inseam is 24.5″ and the regular is 26″
I like that these pants are a cute alternative to tech fabric joggers or jersey knit or fleecy sweats. Linen dresses them up a little bit and offers a bit of variety when you don’t want those more casual fabrics. They do come in a jogger cut too with a ribbed ankle cuff if you’re looking for that jogger shape.

Let’s Discuss The Rest Of This Outfit
Um, OK. Let’s also talk about this adorable Fjällräven bag, friends. I literally LOL’d (I DO NOT use that term lightly) when I saw this. I immediately Slacked my teammate Em and said, ‘How adorably cute and hilarious is this? I want it.’ Then we both wanted it…but were afraid our daughters would steal them. I took a risk and ordered it anyway in this great mint green. Now it’s my favorite bag. Sorry Sienna, it’s mine. It holds just enough and is so easy to throw into a larger bag if needed. Love the little pop of color it adds, too.

Outfit Details
Free People Front Zip Jacket // (S) Love. Love. It has the slight nod to the red Michael Jackson jacket I always wanted as a kid but updated for a 40-something to actually wear out of the house.
BDG Lea Hooded Denim Bomber // (S) A seriously cute update to the jean jacket I’m honestly bored with this year. I may do a little roundup later of some other denim alternatives. This one has a cool retro vibe that I love.
We The Free You Rock T-shirt // (S) This is breezy and cute and has a great oversized capped sleeve/muscle tee cut. Will be wearing with everything higher rise this spring and summer. It’s such a great tee for hot weather.
Caslon Linen Track Pants // (MP) Run, don’t walk, to get these great pants. I went with the Medium Petite here, and it was perfectly slouchy (only a tiny bit) plus the length is also perfection on my 5’4″ frame. They come in olive, white and gray, too, and I’m totes thinking of grabbing the olive. They say size down, but I’m gonna say they fit true to size. When I go petite, I’m typically a medium. If you don’t want them loose at all, perhaps size down. The standard lengths are offered in XS – XXL and the petite in XXS – XL.
Nike Blazer Mid ’77 High Tops // (TTS) I’ve wanted these forever and when I saw this tan shade I knew it was time. So, so rad and classic, and this color is easy to wear and style. Love!
Fjällräven Kånken Sling Shoulder Bag // The tiniest Kånken and the cutest, IMO. It even has a tiny front pocket for lipstick or gloss or keys and a tiny back laptop-style pocket that works perfectly for a phone or small tablet. This Fjällräven fan is in love. Comes in a bunch of great colors.
Here’s to more days when we can sport our linen pants and breezy tops, eh? Bring it, sunny days!
xo,
L

These are cute & I’m interested in trying them. One question, though. Several of the reviews on Nordstrom’s site mentioned that these are tight in the calves. Did you have any issues with this? Thank you!
I didn’t have that issue! And I will occasionally with some pants. I don’t tend to have large calves, but they’re not narrow either. I will say they don’t have stretch, so perhaps try the size up as well to make sure they’re a good fit!
Dangit, Laura! These are so cute! Do I already possess 2 separate pants very similar to these, just in silk and Tencel? Yes. Does that make me want these any less? NO.
Hahaha I mean, these are the most comfy versatile style yeah? I say you can’t have too many variations of this kinda pant!
Laura, your recommendations are really getting me lately. I’m sitting here in my Vuori Performance Joggers (black camo print, of course), hitting ‘Add to Cart’ on these linen beauties. I can’t stop.
Haha love it, Mallory. I’m so glad they’re stuff you love! That makes me happy. xo
I bought this bag last year so I feel like I was ahead of the game! It definitely sparks joy – it’s just so cute!
yes!!!
Ok, these or the Athleta Cabo pants….???
So my love for Athleta runs deep, but I haven’t seen any others like these above with the cool hem! I feel like that makes them unique and shows off your shoes more!
Done, I am buying them. It’s been a rough work week and I need some retail therapy.
Thanks!
