A huge thank you to Nordstrom & ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.
I first heard about Zella leggings from you guys. I was asking readers to let me know what their favorite leggings of all-time were and a TON of you said Zella, 100%. I ordered that first pair years ago (their Live In High Waist Leggings) and have been loving everything Zella since then. The fit of their leggings is so good — never sheer (even during downward dog — yes, I checked 😂) and they provide enough bum coverage that I don’t worry about lumps and bumps showing if I don’t have a shirt covering it.
Chic Loungewear & Cute Workout Clothes From Nordstrom Zella
Since venturing out from their leggings, I’ve found that Zella’s line is just really good quality all-around. Super-soft fabrics, cozy jackets, flattering fits — they’re the perfect go-to for everything from comfy loungewear to functional workout gear. Here’s what I’m loving right now.
Matching Tie Dye Loungewear Sets
I’m loving this tie dye. It’s a fun break from my typical all black or grey (and it’s also available in a cool green color). The material is more like a terry cloth fabric, so this set would be perfect for spring and even into summer — I’d wear the oversized sweatshirt with some cute cut-offs or pair the joggers with a graphic tee (they’d make great cover-ups too.) For now, I’m wearing them for when I want to feel cute and comfy while lounging or working at home. The pattern just makes me happy.
Tie Dye Outfit Details
sweatshirt: Coastal Tie Dye Crewneck Sweatshirt (s, tts) The side slits mean this sweatshirt doesn’t bulge out at the bottom like banded sweatshirts can…it would look great with their leggings too.
sweatpants: Tie Dye Joggers (m, tts) Love the drawstring waist and the pockets!
Zella For Working Out: Super-Soft & Comfy Fabrics
I totally got out of my biking routine over the holidays. It’s the one thing that was keeping me sane but when the whole “Bells Palsy brought on by stress” happened, I took it easy. Really easy. So when I found out it was actually a brain tumor, I was like “oh, OK…I guess I can get back on the bike, then.” (Silver linings, right?) Getting back into that routine has been hard after so much time off so I’m easing back into it.
And these fabrics from Zella? Incredibly soft and comfortable. I found that if I just put them on with or without the intention of actually getting on the bike I’m much more likely to get a workout in. (And if not, I’m still out of my pj’s but just as comfy.) I LOVE the leggings…they’re just slightly oversized for leggings, and the pockets and ankle cuffs are great details. And you have to feel this shirt to appreciate how soft it is. I love that it has both greys and browns in it, so it would work with either of those colors.
leggings: Restore Soft Pocket Lounge Leggings (m) These are my new favorites…so ridiculously comfortable and surprisingly flattering.
t-shirt: Washed Tie Dye Studio T-Shirt (s) You have to feel this to understand how good it is. SO soft and comfy and I love the pattern.
shoes: Nike Cortez Basic Premium Sneaker I LOVE the retro vibe of these sneakers and they’re my go-to’s for my spin bike because they’re comfy and straight across on the sole. (And I might need that awesome grey color with the tie-dye tongue!)
Cozy Basics: Zella Leggings For Working Out Or Lounging
These leggings are a bit thicker than the Live In High Waist Leggings for more warmth in the winter without adding extra bulk. I like them because I’m always cold — they’re perfect for layering under snow pants or doing low-impact workouts. The seamless top is great to pair with them — they both have a bit of compression that kind of smooths everything out (and I obviously love the tie dye!). They’re both great base layers to have for the winter and when the snow melts I’ll be able to run outside in them without freezing. (And maybe I’ll add this jacket for extra warmth.)
But first, we need to talk about this jacket. See that lining? It’s incredibly soft and cozy. It’s the perfect jacket to throw on after a workout, and it works for lounging and running errands too. I love that the collar can be worn open or kind of popped up — and that drape is perfect. (Kat loves it too — she’s wearing the ivory one here.)
jacket: Amazing Cozy Wrap Jacket (xs) Incredibly cozy and warm–also in a gorgeous ivory color.
shirt: Seamless Tie Dye Long Sleeve Tee (s) Also in green or navy, and I LOVE the thumbholes!
leggings: Cozy Winter Pocket High Waist Ankle Leggings (m) Comfy and warm–also in grey and I love the side pockets!
