I am on the hunt for a cute white platform sneaker for summer, so I hit up two sneaker brands that have been my favorite for years…adidas and P448. Both companies had the style I was looking for — a court shoe with a platform — but I needed to compare them side-by-side to pick a favorite. So I ordered both pairs for a little research.
It turns out they’re both great sneakers, but they do have some differences.
Adidas Stan Smith Bonega Vs. P448 Thea | The White Platform Sneaker Showdown
Where to Buy adidas: at adidas | at Nordstrom | at Amazon
Where to Buy P448: My exact pair at Nordstrom | Bronze/white at Nordstrom (included in the Anniversary Sale!) | Silver/white at Nordstrom (included in the Anniversary Sale!) | at Zappos | Iridescent at Dillards
P448 Thea Platform These shoes have a cool, effortless style and a smaller overall profile. The upper is white with silver tongue and heel, gray laces and a more neutral, less-bright ivory sole. They’re also cushiony but not to the touch…they support your heel with a great sole once you put them on.
adidas Stan Smith Bonega: These are a great summery bright white with the sporty, classic green heel we know and love from the Stan Smith shoe, but made with a platform sole this time. They have a super-soft cushiony insole, a trendy overall vibe and are pretty lightweight for such a chunky sneaker.

Fit Notes: Both of these styles fit a bit smaller than the previous similar styles I’ve owned in these brands. I went up to a 39 in the P448 and tried my typical 7.5 US in the adidas, but would be happier with an 8 (my regular size).

I loved both styles with a couple of my favorite summer looks. Which pair would you pick?!
